Edwards doesn't just talk the talk he walks the walk
Prime example - he has refused to accept PAC or special interest money of any kind and opted for a publicly financed campaign. While this may ultimately be to his detriment (Obama outspent him by 4 times in Iowa), he has gained my respect for being true to his message. I am sick and tired of hearing politicians pander to us by telling us they are going to change things and make them better. In the current system, the only way to change things is to take special interest money and corporate greed and influence out of play. A candidate cannot effectively do that when theyare dependent upon funding from these interests to get elected or re-elected. Quite frankly, I think we need to pass a law to mandate that all presidential elections are publicly funded - that way everyone is operating on an equal playing field.

1. Campaign and election reform are in desperate need of
overhaul, but of course under corporate power nothing good will ever be accomplished. Obama and Hillary both had the option of swearing off corporate lobbyists & they decided the status quo was just fine. You tell me, who will they be responsible to? At least with Edwards we know.

4. No, mama, Obama has taken no lobbyist money in this campaign
and furthermore, a greater percentage of Edwards campaign funds come from a special interest than Obama's campaign funds. Obama has raised the vast majority of his money from small donors. The truth shall set you free.

7. no. he hasn't. this isn't a big secret, and I'm not saying
he hasn't taken corporate money. I'm saying he hasn't taken lobbyist money in this race. Widely known.

BTW, JE has taken more special interest percentage wise than Obama- by far. And most of Obama's funding comes from small donors.

Now have fun with your very sour grapes.

8. Obama is OWNED by big pharma. If you support what they're
doing to the average American, then you've picked the right guy in Obama. Me, I have too much hope for America to back another corporate pig like Obama.

My take is Edwards is okay or even in good shape and the establishment is trying to muffle him. But all and all, thanks for the lies because you have gotten me a little more interested

11. Tis true, Cali. Obama has taken money from the very people
who wish to stop universal health care. I'm not happy about that either. I respect Obama, I think he's a good man, but he isn't going to fight for us when he accepts their money.

2. Edwards is truly the ONLY option if you want REAL CHANGE in American politics
and government. The others are all indebted to the same entities that have caused us so much harm over the last few decades. A vote for Hillary or Barack is a vote for the status quo. Follow the money and see where it leads!

Hillary and Barack will not be able to push through meaningful change, because they owe the corporations that have benefitted the most from the way things are today. Do the math. Their hands are tied.
