Reality Bite
Personally I am so very proud to at last see my party of preference headed toward the future. Never in my life have I seen a field of candidates with a sense of what real dangers we are faced with and what the solutions are.
While Obama has taken a lead in the first of many primary contests we need to keep in perspective that he has still only gathered the support of a minority of Democrats. He still needs the votes of the remaining 60%+ to bring about the revolution we all desire.
As the primaries move forward I hope we all keep in mind the greater goal. To stop the republican slide toward fascism and the destruction of all that is great about our Country. We need to focus on this now more than ever as the closer we get the greater the stakes.
Our resolve to unite behind the final electee is the only path to victory.

1. Obama needs to fix the issue he created with gays, to start with.
He disrespected all gay people by giving McClurkin the opportunity to preach his lies about gays being "cured" from being gay. Gays can pray themselves straight! Indeed! Obama can state that he doesn't agree with those views, but the fact is he DID give the guy the chance before a captive audience, and I find that hypocritical.

Obama also needs to distance himself from the lobbyists he is so fond of. Taking corporate donations is placing him in a compromising position, because he will have to return those favors later.

Obama needs to do a lot of clean up and damage repair before he's ready for prime time. The GOP will devour him in the months leading up to the election, and I'm not sure he's prepared for that.
