2. that's because he'd been black listed by the media, and even here on DU
It's a shame that he's dropped out. I wasn't crazy about some of his proposals, but he certainly isn't afraid to call it like he sees it, and has served our country well in the past - It was nice to have his unique voice in the race, and I even think he would have made a good president, all things considered.

4. yeah, but that's because you're on it too - how many delegates did you get?
I'm exaggerating about it being on DU, but I have seen opinion polls posted here about the candidates with his name left off. That really made me sad. It's fine if people don't like the guy's positions and don't want to vote for him because of that, but he was running because he wanted to make a positive change in this country, and that should have been acknowledged where it wasn't. I wasn't really surprised that the networks eventually dropped him from the debates, since he stole the show 1/2 the time he was in them, but not in a way that fit their planned narrative. I hope this wasn't his last foray into politics.

5. From Gravel website: Still in
We're Still in the Race!
January 4th, 2008 by J. Skyler S. Mc...
Once again, the Mainstream Media has not gotten the facts straight.

MSNBC pundit Keith Olbermann has incorrectly declared that Sen. Gravel has dropped out of the race following the January third caucus in Iowa. This is not true, and Sen. Gravel is still an active member in this race. We are requesting that MSNBC and Keith Olbermann retract their statement, and issue an apology to the campaign for promoting blatantly false misinformation.

Again, Sen. Gravel has not dissolved his campaign, and has no intentions of doing so.

Went to double check so I could update our local website...nothing on Biden or Dodd...above on Gravel.
