If Dems Lose In November I'll Know Who To Blame...
The American voters for failing to take action against an administration that has absolutely no regard for the law of the land!

This group of thugs has fucked us at every turn, beginning with the Florida monkey business, and continuing through today's announcement on the proposed constitutional amendment.

I will not blame Dean, Nader, Kerry, Edwards, Kucinich, the DLC or the Clenis. We the people have a responsibility to stop these bastards dead in their tracks, and anyone who doesn't live up to that responsibility deserves what they get.

I can't believe there hasn't been a revolution yet. Actually, yes I can.

So let's stop the whining and preemptive blaming and get on with our job as the American voices of reason!

:wtf:
:nopity:

6. "people deserve the government they elect" -- Thomas Jefferson
I blame the American people if we get 4 more years of shit... and spare me the "gore won" schpiel... Gore was a weak candidate, and for the election to be so close that Florida mattered illustrates Gore's failure.

Thomas Jefferson is right.

7. I will add extra assualt at... the lazy media
cable news shows from december 2002 on... nightly "countdown to war" shows... lazy reporting for more than a year on the real state of the economy (big exception these days to Lou Dobbs - a traditional conservative who is growing (and sharing it on the air) quite concerned with the state of jobs in the economy in this country)... and I would expect that there will have been pundit banalities repeated ad nauseum about whatever this years petty themes will be (ala "Love Canal... Love Story... Inventing the internet... etc.)

13. So what's the priority this year GreenPartyVoter?
Voting Green (which I support in principal), or getting these bastards out of office? Perhaps Green on a local level and Dem for President? Just curious where you stand.

What good is it to build a party but lose the country, or the whole world?

Will keep on working for that election reform, though. ;)

P.S. Welcome to DU!

16. Kick ass!
Keep fighting the good fight. Here in Oregon things got a little dicey in 2000. Lots of (understandable) Green voting split the liberal vote, and * almost won a state that is traditionally Dem. BTW, I'm not a Dem or a Green, just a pragmatic American.

18. That's perfectly said!
Those are my sentiments, exactly. If we're stupid enough to elect Bush, maybe we deserve what we get -- dirty air to breath, dirty water to drink, climate change, no resources left for our children, trillions of dollars of government debt, no money for education or health care, war without end, a pathetically low minimum wage, a rollback of labor laws, and a disappearing middle class with all the money distributed to the top. And throw in a fascist theocracy where they use Christianity to keep people in line and accepting all of this.

The fact that Bush even has a chance is totally beyond my comprehension.

Well put, and welcome to DU!! :hi: :bounce:

19. Finally, a voice of reason!
Let's work our butts off to elect in the General Election, whomever our Nominee is.....worry about the other stuff later!

But,in the primary, vote your choice! A brokered convention is a good thing, it gives power to the people! John Kennedy was nominated out of a brokered convention!

23. Thanks. But no way!
I don't care how weak our candidate is, we have to follow through on the eviction. We need to redirect all of the energy being expended on preemptive blame assignment, swallow our ideals, and just do the right thing. Just remember, nobody wins at the blame game. ;)

31. Then give us someone to vote for and don't destroy or ignore
our better candidates for some compromised insider sell-out. Kerry represents the essence of Democratic party incompetence and complicity that aroused Democrats to not only take back their country, but take back their party. What a curious irony that Right-wing attacks on Kerry aren't far from the truth. Some electibility. Anyone should be capable of beating Bush as the anti-Bush, yet how odd that progressives who actually have familiarity with the issues are constantly browbeated for questioning Kerry's stand on the issues instead of automatically falling in line. Fuck that. I don't like Kerry, and I like him even less because he is supposed to represent our side.
