I just wanted to put that in here to rile people up. I don't think he's a plagarist. But I will admit that when I was coming of age politically this was the big scandal for whatever reason, so unfortunately it's what I'll always think of when someone mentions Joe Biden.

I was simply at the point where I was just paying attention to politics although in that typical 18 year old way of enought to be aware of some stuff but still not enough to fully be aware of what was going on. I just remember his name and that scandal.

But with just a little extra touch of sincerity, and he's a powerful speaker. He just never votes anywhere near as tough as he talks.

Experience? In today's Washington, that's not a plus for me. I like Kucinich because he commutes from another (and better) planet, never having been (much) corrupted by DC. I like Obama because Washington's only worked him over for a few years now. I dig Edwards because he has grown in his time away from Washington. Hillary's up to her eyeballs in Beltway filth, and Biden nearly as much. Joe is a compromiser--too much of one to suit me, but if he would harness his powers for good, he'd do a lot of good.

If I am conveying frustration here, that's appropriate. Joe is disappointment after disappointment, perhaps because he still seems, even now, like a guy who could be fighting for us, and isn't. I am not immune to his charms, but am working hard to ignore them, given his record.
