Kept my Powder Dry until tonight.....I wanted to hear all, see all, absorb all....

And I'm voting for Hillary.

'Cause I'm 38 years old, and I'm just tired of waiting for all the men to fix it all....

'Cause I'm old enough to remember the peace and prosperity of the 90's.

'Cause the the whole Donnie McClurkin thang left a sour taste in my mouth.... (Bye Obama)

'Cause Al Gore won 2000--he divided NOTHING...... (Bye Obama--don't diss Al, Barack!!!)

'Cause Edwards will make a great VP choice....(Damn, he will!!!)

And if he won't, I'll take Richardson or Dodd...(either one, good VP)

And if not them, then Clark (damn I miss him!!!)

'Cause she's bulletproof....the Swiftboaters??? She will chew 'em up spit 'em out.....for like breakfast.....

'Cause Bill's gonna be "Mr. President" with panache......

25. What I posted was true.
Harold Mayberry and Darrell Jackson are homophobic preachers, who have made bigotted statements in public.

Mayberry endorsed her. This was considered quite a score for Sen. Clinton, as he is prominent in his community.

Jackson is a preacher and SC State Rep who is Clinton's co-chair and a $10000 a month consultant.

The thing about McClurkin is not just disgust at the sentiment--it is disgusting, without a doubt....

However, on a very pragmatic front, it reveals to me who Obama thinks is more important. And it ain't the people I wanna hang with......I'm simply not gonna vote for a candidate who actively embraces sexual repression.

Bill gave us NAFTA!! The Iraqi Liberation Act!! After Papa Bush handed our military over to Halliburton, Clinton kept it that way!! He advised our senators to sign the IWR!! His Telecommunications Act consolidated our media!!!! ....Pardons!!!

It drives me crazy to see people here (at a place where I think smart people gather) support the wife of a president who was impeached.

Whitewater, treating the White House like it was a motel. Hidden documents!!! ...By no means should Hillary be our president!! ...We’re lead around like sheep by our corporate owned media!!

27. I think not just the PR headlining of the event---not just
the newspapers, or advertisements in local church circulars, nor the radio ads.....

it was the allowance of the Obama camp to let him M.C. the event, and have an open mike....the unfettered mike with the unchecked commentary on the "ex-gay" lifestyle...and the later refusal to eschew the commentary.

It's not just the message--it's the unseasoned approach to this that makes me hesitate...

McClurkin didn't "M.C." the event, and he didn't make any comments on homosexuality there. He was a performer only. And the Obama campaign did publicly disagree with McClurkin's views.

53. Oh, she is NOT bulletproof - they're just waiting
the repukes are drooling over the thought of Hillary winning the primary - and no, I can't show you proof, but it should be obvious. She will get-out-the-vote like no other, except it will be for the wrong party. For reasons I don't understand, she is as hated by much of the right as gwb is by us. She doesn't deserve it, he worked hard to earn it, but it's fact.

In fact, I hope we don't have to see what happens if she wins the primary - it would be ugly. I fear that if she won the presidency, our country would remain as divided as it is today, and she wouldn't be able to get much done. I prefer any one of the dem candidates to HRC just because of the polarization factor. Lately I've been feeling better about it, because I don't think she's going to win.

I do like your last line though - I intend to do the same, no matter who wins.

65. I understand what you're saying
but, I'm afraid it would be too much - and we won't use it just right, either. Any dem will piss off the GOP, I don't think we have to worry about that, but for some reason, Hillary is hated with a passion, even after all these years. I don't understand it, and I don't think she did anything to earn it, but it's there nonetheless.

Yeah, it would be kind of fun for a few minutes if she won, but I really want someone in there who will be able to get things done, and not be fought at every turn. I just want my country back.

May the best man or woman win.....

55. No offense, but your reasons are a bit thin
'Cause I'm 38 years old, and I'm just tired of waiting for all the men to fix it all....

How will Hillary's gender make her better at "fixing it all"?

'Cause I'm old enough to remember the peace and prosperity of the 90's.

And Hillary did what to bring that about?

'Cause the the whole Donnie McClurkin thang left a sour taste in my mouth.... (Bye Obama)

Hillary's not the only alternative to Barack.

'Cause Al Gore won 2000--he divided NOTHING...... (Bye Obama--don't diss Al, Barack!!!)

See above.

'Cause Edwards will make a great VP choice....(Damn, he will!!!)

He'll make an even better 'P' choice. Either way, it's not a reason to vote for Hillary

And if he won't, I'll take Richardson or Dodd...(either one, good VP)

Still not a reason to support Clinton.

And if not them, then Clark (damn I miss him!!!)

Lather, rinse, repeat.

'Cause she's bulletproof....the Swiftboaters??? She will chew 'em up spit 'em out.....for like breakfast.....

Like she did to Giuliani when he slammed her $5000/child idea? Oh wait...she just caved in without a peep.

'Cause Bill's gonna be "Mr. President" with panache......

Um...yeah. :eyes:

And if it's not her, then I'M GONNA RUN MY ASS OFF FOR THE DEM CANDIDATE---LEST I FIND MYSELF WITH ANOTHER FREAK/REPUBLICAN/CHRISTOFASCIST POS......

71. Doesn't want to invoke truth to power, lest someone cry,
"Help me, I'm MELTING!"

67. Bill Won't Be "Mr. President"
In fact, he won't be anything if Hillary wins. Just like how she wasn't anything when he was president.

72. And First Gentleman is also good enough for me.
I, too, have lots of reasons for voting for Hill - primarily because I know she has the guts to take on Healthcare reform - but I think it is icing on the cupcake to have Bill as an adviser. Those were good times for Americans in my shoes and I know without a doubt that Hillary feels very similarly to Bill on those same issues.

I don't have that same "without a doubt" feeling about any other candidate running.

Enough said for me.

73. Great post!!!
Don't let the negativity of some spoil the moment. Hillary will be a great president!!! Win or lose tomorrow, she will still be our nominee. I trust that super Tuesday will tip the scale her way.

Go Hillary!!!!!!!

75. K&R
Look at her record and it stacks up against anyone else running.

78. She has too many negatives -- voters who say they will not
vote for her no matter what -- to get elected.

She talks out of both sides of her mouth.

She is arrogant.

She is bitter.

That she is a woman is no guarantee that she is a liberal or wise. Maggie Thatcher was a woman.

We can do better than Hillary.

Welcome to DU.
