Is it good for candidates to be courageous on hot button issues?
Or should they be more cautious and political, so they can actually get elected and then effect change?

2. Well it will be important to the people who like those issues,
unfortunately, it very rarely wins elections. They say that that a nation gets the
leaders it deserves. That means to me that we are a nation that deserves little, if anything at all and we will never elect people who are brave enough to speak out on issues they really believe in.

4. We can't push progressive issues if we don't get elected in the first place.

5. As Dr. Phil says, "how's that working out for you?"
It is not working for me.
