...I've seen the arguments for and against the front runners for the Democratic nomination. I see things that I agree with and things that I do not from each and every one of them.
I've seen the bickering, the praise, and the campaigning that goes on here at DU, and I have done my best to really consider all the substantial points being made about each candidate. I see the passion so many DUers have for their particular candidate.
I read all your posts and I consider them carefully, because I really am not 100% sure who I will vote for in the primaries. Lame? Yeah, probably, but that's where I am.
What I am 100% sure about is that I would give my left teat to see ANY Democrat in the White House in 2008, rather than another greedy, bigoted, homophobic, misogynistic, war-mongering Republican who doesn't give a shit if the environment falls to ruin, or American citizens don't have access to health care.
When I consider the options, and imagine a President Biden, Clinton, Edwards, Obama*, etc... INSTEAD of a Huckabee or a Romney, or a Thompson*... I think MY GOD, PLEASE JUST LET IT END.
I just want to see a light at the end of the tunnel, and a release of the death grip that the neo-con agenda has on this country.
No candidate is perfect. I probably don't agree 100% with the positions of any politician, but I sure as hell prefer a Democratic president over another damn heartless Republican.
America needs to heal. We need to get rid of the thugs that have taken over our country. I can accept it right now if I don't find my Democratic messiah this election cycle. After 8 years of a hostile takeover of this nation by the "anti-christ" and his minions, ALL the Dem candidates look pretty ok to me. I guess I am wearing the political equivalent of beer goggles. After the Bush reign of terror, it's amazing how attractive most Dems are going to look when the "ugly lights" come on in November.
The madness just has to end.
