2. I think Ross Holt & otrhers in Congress
are looking into the whole Diebold issue. I asked Feingold about this last fall & he said the Dems are quite aware of the problem.

21. Awareness and committed action are two VERY different things.
They could have halted this puppy as fast as their little eager fingers signed the Patriot Act, Iraq War Resolution, No Child Left Behind, and how many other countless things.

They are aware of it. Im growing tired of hearing how "aware" they are of everything.

If anything these "aware" legislators could actually serve their constituents (a novel idea*) by sending out a monthly newsletter getting us up to date and truly telling us what they are doing about the issues they are "aware" of. Congressional leaders are more than eager to drop into town for a 250 - 1000 dollar a plate luncheon or dinner, but we dont hear from them until the next fundraiser, but they are "aware" of the problems.

Has he co-sponsored Graham's bill?

I'd love to be wrong about these guys, but ...

5. Behind the scenes I don't know, but
we don't hear any of the Dems talking about it. I emailed the SOS of TX at least 6 or 7 times about it and got no response whatsoever.

8. Kucinich is talking about it, and has acted on it.
So have Holt and Graham.

Of course Texas isn't going to respond. Are you aware of the 'irregularities' during the '02 midterms?!

The 'frontrunners' in this race should be ashamed.

What a dead giveaway, eh? Can't be bothered to protect the citizens' rights to vote.

9. And the fact that this would indicate that they're in cahoots with
the corporations doing the stealing doesn't bother you at all?

No red flags popping up yet?

10. Gee, and I was called conspiratorial for suggesting that the media took
Clark out because he was Rove's worst nightmare.

11. Yes
'Conspiracy' is a great way to defuse debate. Just label it CT and then everybody who gives two s$its about what people think about them just put it right out of their minds.

People need to think for themselves. Starting yesterday.

12. If "they" don't care which one wins, why would "they" bother...
rigging an election?

13. I'm not the one who said they would
And honestly I don't care. I know that if they did, that the Pres would be anti-people and pro-corporate.

What I'm saying is that both frontrunners' lack of action on this matter tells us volumes about what's important to them. It's certainly not democracy.

15. Votes used to speak louder
Thanks to Dem inaction on this issue, that may be changing -- possibly for good.

19. Back to the original Topic...
I'm not a Kerry supporter, but I remember a couple of months ago he said that after he got the nomination, he would mount a very large court case to insure the sanctity of elections. Do any Kerry supporters have any additional information? I think this is a good position.

I want my vote for the eventual nominee to count in November!

20. Ask yourself this: what possible reason could there be for waiting?

IMO this is a very, very bad position.
