Nader wants to be Green candidate after all??
Edited on Tue Feb-24-04 12:04 PM by GreenPartyVoter
according to a note on my Greens mailing list.

BUT, not all Greens want him back, so he's no shoo-in. We have lots of great candidates already (Camejo, Cobb, Farley, etc) who don't have the baggage he does.

"Running Independent as "Insurance Factor"

Asked about the Green Party, Ralph said running as an independent was an "insurance factor." He said with the Greens unclear about whether they really wanted to run, or to run all out, he couldn't count on the Greens.

But he definitely seemed to want the Greens' support and nomination. He asked me point blank afterwords if he thought the draft Nader movement in the Greens could be successful. I told him yes. He wants the Green nomination but he isn't counting on it."

Needs to amend this to say that each STATE party still has the option of drafting Nader as their choice for Presidential candidate.

1. To be honest
I hope they don't try drafting him.As you say there are much better candidates without the baggage he'll bring.

4. Actually I hope not
I would rather Camejo got in, but we'll see. But ya gotta admit that Ralph brought a lot of energy into the Green campaign in '00. Let's hope some of it is still around for the '04 round.
