Analysis: Hilary Clinton LIES in Ad currently playing in New Hampshire
Exaggerating Help for Troops

December 20, 2007

Clinton falsely claims guardsmen and reservists didn't have health insurance before she went to work.

Summary
In a recent ad, Clinton claims members of the National Guard and military Reserve didn’t have health insurance until she and a GOP colleague took action.

We find the ad misleading. In fact, active-duty Guard and Reserve troops already were covered by federal insurance, and four out of five non-active-duty guardsmen and reservists already were covered by their civilian employers or other sources.
Clinton did help expand and enhance health care coverage for reservists but can't claim credit for creating coverage where none existed, as this ad implies.

Analysis
The ad, called "Guard," began airing statewide in New Hampshire on Dec. 17. It places Hillary Clinton alongside glowing images of men and women in uniform and lays her voice over soaring, patriotic strains. But, beneath all of the glitz, there's a misleading claim.

Clinton lies!!

FactCheck.org -- it's an equal opportunity expose website!

(disclaimer: this post is intended to highlight the ridiculousness of one 'side' or anothers smear tactics toward the opposing democratic candidate. Anyone can find crap to post. Too bad it's directed at those who supposedly are on the "same side".

6. It has information
It's a place to compare facts, but they can manipulate what those facts mean and often do. Again, I have no idea about the ad at all. I just want people to be wary of some of these groups out there, all of them really. Nobody has a monopoly on the truth, absolutely nobody. Everybody has an agenda.

3. Apparently, it's true that not all were covered
as factcheck.org says, "four out of five non-active-duty guardsmen and reservists already were covered by their civilian employers or other sources." As far as I understand, she helped pass legislation ensuring that they *all* have health care.

Also, you spelled Hillary incorrectly in the title of the OP.
