Kucinich has the best tax plan.
Even if Kucinich isn't your first choice, please consider giving him a small contribution in addition to your favorite to help Kucinich meet his quarterly goal.

Why?

Because he's the only candidate who wants to LOWER taxes on the middle class by raising them on rich individuals and corporations.

Clinton won in 1992 by promising a tax cut for the middle-class.

If we help Kucinich get his message out, maybe the eventual nominee will embrace his Progressive Tax Act of 2003 plan.

The details of Progressive Tax Act of 2003 are at:

3. Raising taxes...
...on the rich won't help. There's not enough of them and the tax laws are such they can shelter money.

Same with corporations. They have shelters, but even with that, tax them and their net profits go down, the value of the stock declines, people will naturally move their money to more lucrative investments (also less money to pay out in dividends to investors), companies with less working capital will find it necessary to lay-off or otherwise downsize to attempt to keep the same dollar profit level, etc...

No, Kucinich wouldn't to be able to have any "loopholes" closed.

The answer is getting rid of government waste. Government revenues is not the problem, it's what is wasted that's the problem. But our politicians don't seem willing to cut the pork in their own districts, they want the pork cut somewhere else, and so nothing ever gets done. I can't say I believe anything will ever be done about it.

Canada has more progressive taxation than the US, and it doesn't seem to be experiencing those problems.

6. SHHH...it is politically incorrect to bring up the social democracies...
and how they have been able to do what the conservative neoliberals claim is impossible--raise taxes on the upper income earners and the rich!

11. they are certainly ABLE to raise taxes on the rich..
but look at the comparative economic performance over the past 50 years...

USA, nearly 12 trillion $$ economy

Canada's entire federal budget is barely HALF of our military budget.

8. An old myth...but even so, Dennis is for
cutting the waste ..especially in the insane Pentagon budget...

Either way you win with Dennis...the sooner more folks realize that the better for all.

Most all of the candidates have ended up saying what Dennis said months ago...that should be a big clue this man knows whats going on!Peace

He has the best position on about 95% of the issues. I am so glad the media is doing it's job and letting Dennis' message be heard!

Oh wait.. no they're not. It's still all money and polls...(kinda like General Discussion Primary's usual fare)

13. The Man With The Plan!
I like that, John. I may even "borrow" it and add it to the letters I'm writing.

Speaking of which, the campaign has need of letter writers to send letters to Iowa and NH. There is a small cost in the way of paper, envelopes, stamps, and downloading/printing some campaign info to go with the letters. A larger investment of time. Will you write letters with me?

16. Find info at the site.
http://www.kucinich.us

Scroll down the right hand column and find "write letters" under the "volunteer" section. Email them, and they will send you information; then you can decide!

18. well, I think I like this better
middle class tax relief to be paid for by jobs growth and a repeal of the top end of the tax reductions.

I guess that means he is not the ONLY candidate.

Check out Edwards.

19. A perfect plan for a perfect world.
No national debt, no disease, no need for national health-care or Social Security, no crime, no punishment, no terrorism, nobody unemployed, no future to worry about, no wars, no insecurity, no poverty, no ignorance, no need for a stable currency, and no need for government.

Unfortunately this may not be the kind of world that we live in, IMHO.

23. I've already sent Kucinich 3 contributions
Dennis Kucinich is America's opportunity to move back toward the right direction. I am furious with the media ignoring him and marginalizing his campaign. It seems almost deliberate.

If Kucinich picked Carol Mosely-Braun as his running mate, then we would be offered a true choice in the 2004 election that people will respond to.

If the same-old same-old polititians like Terry McCollough, Tom Daschle and Nancy Pelosi try to stuff has-beens like Kerry, Gephardt, and Liberman down Americas throat in November, then we are guaranteed to suffer a deserved defeat.
