Looks like Edwards is doing so great in Iowa that CSPAN is sticking with it a little longer.

8. notes that Clinton has taken more $ from health care industry than
any other candidate and that may explain why Clinton has been reluctant to push universal health care as much as others.

14. She has not been reluctant to push Health care. That was a lie
Edited on Sun Dec-30-07 02:45 PM by Evergreen Emerald
and you repeat it as if fact.

She has fought and fought the establishment for healthcare. And WON on numerous fronts: like Children's health care. And healthcare for poor women.

I had to turn it off when Edwards started agreeing with the lie. I know this is politics, but I trusted her to win with the truth.

And when Edwards was in the Senate: he did nothing.

People are so willing to blame Clinton for everything. Dang, backwards and in high heels.

15. let's be clear here
Edited on Sun Dec-30-07 05:19 PM by spooky3
1) typing what someone said is simply typing what someone said.
2) EE is expressing HER OPINION. Opinions aren't lies or facts. They are, uh, opinions. Glad you feel free to disagree, but it's not correct to call a judgment a "lie."
3) EE did NOT say HRC "has been reluctant to push health care" and that's not what I typed - you left out an important qualifier. Please re-read it.
4) If you will check his website (and other sources of info) you will see that he in fact released his health care proposal in February, and she released one in September. That alone can support what EE said. He also pointed out how hers is similar to and different from his.

16. To suggest that she has been reluctant to push healthcare is
Edited on Sun Dec-30-07 05:58 PM by Evergreen Emerald
NOT TRUE

And to suggest that Edwards released his healthcare plan first and therefore he is...the best, is...silly. Clinton actually released hers in the 1990's and has been working on healthcare ever since.

9. What a fantastic advocate! EE is so knowledgeable and down-to-earth.
Asking why Hillary - who takes the most money from healthcare industry - hasn't done much in recent years to promote universal healthcare. (can't be too tough on your banker - to quote Hillary, herself, referring to China)

To be fair, the same site also notes that JRE received > $200K, about 1/4 as much as Clinton.

13. I wish sites like this would give more detail
such as

what constitutes a health care industry?

Are we talking donations from individuals who happen to be nurses and doctors, or people who happen to work at a health care facility, even the janitors?

A lot of my friends who work in such positions are as fed up as I am about the crazy system we have in this country and would be likely supporters of John Edwards.

I don't think this is very clear.
