Voting Nader is NOT like saying you'll only date supermodels

The difference is that if you vote Nader, at least you're sure to get fucked.

4. Ralph Nader made the most sense of any candidate on Chris Matthews
since Dean was kicked out by the DLC and the right-wing media. He had great comebacks to C-Matth's annoying interviewing style. The man, Nader, is sharper than anyone now running. Will I vote for him? No. But I listen and am continually impressed by his progressive stands and intelligence. He's not an egotistical person. He's brave for running -- knowing that he'll be vilified by, among others, a bunch of knee-jerk DU-ers and others who don't understand why Gore really lost -- and putting issues in front of Bush, Kerry and the stupid American electorate. Long live Nader and all's he's done. Just watch, he'll help take back the White House from Bush.

Listen to what Nader says and not what many perceive to be an ego thing and you'll know that he makes sense.

Thank-you for your service to this country, Ralph.

I miss you Howard Dean, and know that Ralph would not be running had the DLC not pushed Dean out of the race.

18. Dean would have kept Nader out?
Please explain the logic behind that statement, because, well its unfathomable.

21. Oregonian, Being smart doesn't mean being electable
First things first, of course Nader's the smartest guy in the room. No one doubts that. But also, big damn whoop. Anything smarter than lobotomized cow fetus beats out Smirk in IQ points. Again, the last time an educated left of center Ivy Leaguer went up against Smirk, 5 corrupted judges handed the White House to a Chimp and his insane handlers.

Give Bush and Rove credit-- Bush is dumb as a post, but he's a damn crafty politician who eats overconfident nerds like Nader for breakfast. Yeah, Nader can spout in detail every wrong that Bush has wrought. So what? It will mean nothing to an electorate that still believes Bush is a genuine Texan or that he actually didn't go AWOL.

Second, Nader being Smarter than everyone else is part of the problem. Like many over-educated and extremely articulate liberals, they deem their intellectual prowess as a birthright for blind loyalty and worship. If you don't think that's the case, go to any local Green Party meeting you'll witness more ideological zealously and puritanical hubris than the average night of the 700 Club. At least the TV evangelists pretend that they don't think too highly of themselves.

The reason Nader would be an even crappier President than Bush is because so damn smart, and so out of touch. Yes, yes, Nader can spout the stats and bills at nauseum, so could Gore. (And unlike Nader, Gore made alot of those things, good and bad, happen.) But just because he frequently quote Cicero and John Stuart Mills does not mean that he's qualified for president.

How many guys who work in help desks like me are utterly baffled at the utter stupidity of system admins who simply can believe their firewall is screwed up b/c....well... they're system admins? Nader is the annoying system admin or programmer who calls the AOL help desk and can't figure out that his own damn firewall is blocking his email and all he has to do is reset it. When you tell him its something that simple, he'll deem its your fault and that you can't possibly be smart enough to figure that out because he's an MSCE and an Oracle admin.

Because he's the tendency to show off just how smart he is, Nader also has a tendency to ignore the sound advice of others, simply because he's alot more smarter than they are. I'm alot smarter than my parents, my employers and most of my friends. However, I have learned in my short life that being smart doesn't mean being right all the time. That's something Nader has or never will figure out.

7. If you've got any brains, youngred, you'll respond with smarts
not BS. Think of something intelligent to say and I'll comeback at you with a real progessive response. The Dems need to get their house in order or 2002 will be a repeat. Remember that election? We, the real Dems, lost the Senate because no one, NO ONE, had a backbone to stand up against Bush.

Oh yes, and Gore's running mate? -- Leiberman -- need I say more.

Some substance, please.

19. I see it thusly
The left hates George Bush obviously, but all we see within the Democratic party are proponents of the third way movement who care more for election victories (something they haven't been able to produce) than for what is best for people. So at the same time they are making their run to the centre they forget the traditional constiuencies and people who make up their lifeblood. Instead of learning from Nader in 2000 and attempting to make peace and find common ground they scapegoated the left and abandoned them further (as is evident by the IWR etc.) and even now they take for granted and attack progressives because its easier than embracing them and making sure their voice is heard. Liberal has become such a perjorative in the last 20 years that they find it as useful as the republicans do.

Is it any surprise that liberals and progressives should flee before such persecution?

9. So where's your muster, youngred? Can you respond?
Nader is in this thing to help working Americans. Do you work? Do you think or just react with silly comments?

I will vote for Kerry the war-supporter, even though I was in the streets protesting against the war. I don't want Bush again. It's that simple. But I will hold my nose and hope that Nader and Dean can spank some sense into the Dems and their, generally speaking, mamby-pamby response to the GOP.

The record shows that Kerry and Edwards caved. Let's see some balls!!!

15. How many Nader voters does it take to screw in a lightbulb?
Six. One to replace the old bulb with a new one and five to say there's no difference between the two.
