Say something positive about the supporters of another candidate
Edited on Sat Dec-29-07 12:47 PM by KennedyGuy
besides your own..
I'll go first..
I do admire the Obama supporters for the passion and energy that that bring to their support of their candidate.
There is no doubt in my mind that they genuinely believe their candidate to be the best choice.
I have to respect that.

1. Thanks, Kennedy. I'm one of those supporters you mention.
And yes, I do believe, passionately, that Obama is the best choice we have.

2. I admire the outspoken supporters of every candidate!
Great thread idea! We all need to recover our voices, which were silenced by the fear of the Rethuglicans.

Especially those supporters who stress their candidates positive aspects, and not the negatives of the others.

I can't tell you how many times I was accused of sedition on debate boards.

Even the Hill.

All of the Biden supporters are really optimistic. Optimism = sexy!

5. Kucinich supporters are faithful and I admire them...
they have America's best interest at heart and know that Dennis represents them. I admire them for not compromising for anything less. IF things were fair, and Kucinich had the press and money of some of the others, he would be America's frontrunner.

8. I admire Edwards supporters...
for remaining true to classic democratic principles of economic and social justice and also for remaining (mostly) above the fray as "Obamanation" and "HillaryWorld" have tended to hurl mud and excrement at each another.

10. I Remember In The Waning Days Of The 04 Campaign
You and me would be in a "race" to see who could post the latest Reuters/Zogby Poll which usually came out at 7:00 AM EST

It's sad because I will never be able to look the same way at many posters here again...

12. I remember that, DSB.
I only found this place after the primaries so I missed all the in-fighting.

When the dust settles on this season, we'll all be on the same team again, fighting the good fight. DU is a "big tent"...shared by one wacky family. That's not sad. That's democracy.

11. I haven't seen a lot of mean-spirited Gravel supporters
But seriously, DU is a totally unrepresentative sample of the supporters of any candidate. Everyone's working heard to follow their gut and elect the person they want as President. Props to everyone.

16. I admire the Hillary supporters....
for hanging in there, in the face of non stop, often false, petty, and hateful attacks, which are based completely on another's personal opinion of her, and not the facts.

17. NO and you can't make me!
:P :hi:

OK, I have a cold and feel lousy and I am tired and I just finished being interviewed for 2 hours and I had to smile a lot with a runny nose so I am crabby......

I will continue. I admire every supporter of every candidate who takes this seriously and stays out of all the nasty, pointless jabbing of everyone else. I wish I could be one of them. :(

28. Biden Supporters- Keep the faith.
I think you guys are the true believers in this race, and you have the best candidate out of all of them. If he can pick up some traction in Iowa, maybe the rest of the country can see what you see.

tend to engage in open, courteous discussion. I like talking to them.

Edwards supporters...while we don't agree on candidates, we hold many of the same values.

The Hillary supporters are equally compassionate for their candidate.

The Edwards supporters (with the exception of 2) are playing it just right.

Everytime I post a thread about Biden, there is always at least one Obama supporter praising Biden.
It always makes me smile.
