What were the most significant political moments of 2007?

Time for a retrospective. :hi:

Come up with a list of at least three events, situations, photo-ops, (mis)statements, etc. which you consider to be the most significant political moments of 2006. Not necessarily good or bad, but which have had -- or should have had -- the most impact on American politics. Please rank them from more significant to less significant. I am curious to see what others think.

1. The day a black man and a white woman became frontrunners for the Pres. nomination.

I don't care for either one, tbh, but that's a pretty big and positive deal in my book.

2. Y'know what's even more amazing?

That the fact that they're a woman and a black man has hardly been mentioned in the media, at least after the initial hoopla.
