Bush Before The Republican Governors
It is clear that his campaign will be based on National Security and it is more clear than ever to me that Kerry must get Clark to sign on in the VP spot. They are attacking Kerry's post military activities, which were proper (I say that as a vet of 3 tours in RVN), and its something they can not do with Clark on the ticket.

By the way, the speach is not receiving a hot reception, cool would be the best you could say for it. If this is all they have they are in worse trouble than I had hoped.

1. And these are the "True Believers"
Bush is dispassionate, quite, not at all animated; just seems to be reading the teleprompter like a good boy.

The crowd applauds but its certainly not what you would expect in this venue.

2. I'm in favor of a Kerry/Clark ticket if Edward& Dean are brought onboard
Dems should pick a cabinet at the convention as well. Kerry needs to focus on the economy. Put Clark in charge of the war on terror and the military in general. Put Edwards in charge of domestic welfare. Give Dean, McAullifes job or some healthcare czar deal. CMB as UN ambassador. Ohio congressman and historic former mayor of Cleveland, Dennis Kucinich, gets his Department of Peace. Give longtime Missouri powerhouse and union favorite, Dick Gephardt, whatever he wants.

Just trying imagine a new Dream Team, a different "band of brothers".
