Chris Matthews son worked on the Dean campaign
he always had a clear pro-Dean, and anti-Edwards(particularly) bias, among the dem primary candidates.

There's nothing wrong with having a favorite, but he should have made that more apparent earlier on. When it's his supposed job to be equal opportunity.

I just thought everyone might want to know that little bit of info.

It came up during his interview with Maher, where he also said that he voted for Bush

1. Tweety had mentioned this before
and, BTW, he has no anti-Edwards bias. In today's USA Today, he criticizes Kerry for saying his favorite film is Blues Brothers and adores Edwards because his choice of "Shawshank Redemption" demonstrates his nice, authentic (or quasi-authentic) middle class values.

Way to improive out political discourse, Tweety. Make judgments based on films choices. Ho hum.

4. "Shawshank Redemption"
Isn't this movie becoming the canned answer when a politician's mind goes blank (understandably) when asked these stupid questions?

I say, throw them a curve and ask them "if you could be any animal.." and why.

Hey, if we're going to get silly here, let them amuse me, at least. :)

7. The Shawshank Redemption is the greatest movie ever. :)
I don't doubt it'd be Edwards' favorite movie. It rules.

Later.

2. Interesting
I didn't know that.

But I don't watch enough of him to get a sense of his bias on the candidates. I can't stomach him anymore.

3. He also said he voted for bush in the last election.
Oh really, Chris? Whoda thought you had a pro-bush bias all through the 2000 campaign.

Tweety was one who never missed an opportunity to call a Gore a liar and bring up, 'I invented the internet' b.s. He's a major POS.

5. Matthews is a despicable man
That, to me, says it all. His chippy mean spirited delivery never misses an opportunity to get in a cheap shot at a democrat and always falls back on "the president is a nice guy" garbage. I'm really sick of his act.

6. He shouild have let people know that
but it is hardly dispositive. That Wattenburghs, the Shaffleys and the Knights, are all examples of parents and children disagreeing vehimently on politics.

11. MSNBC dumped it's head guy
because of lousy ratings.

On Imus this AM it was said there will be many changes now.

Email MSNBC & tell them about their miserable election coverage, & in particular Chris Matthews. Mention his conflict of interest, among other things.

Maybe he'll lose his job too.
