Bush Strategery just laid out on C-SPAN
Edited on Mon Feb-23-04 07:32 PM by x-g.o.p.er
Just saw Bush on C-SPAN addressing the Republican governors. He desribed the Democratic primary as "interesting, with varying positions on the issues. For the Iraq war, and against it. For NAFTA, and against it. For the Patriot Act, and against it. And that is just from one senator from Massachusetts."

Thoughts? Could Edwards weather the flip-flop strategery any better? Or could he better articulate his positions than Kerry could?

Now Maher is on Hardball....this could be good

2. The President has shot his wad and its a dud.
I don care how much they prep him, he gonna blow it. His brain appears full of holes from drug use thus the many Bushisms.

Hardly a pos thing to show for his time in office. 2 wars and Saddam is all he got. Record deficits, job loss, high unemployment, and 7 trillion$ in the national hole. More important, he lied. Now no one gonna believe him anymore cept for the hard core Bush freaks.

3. Yup. Anything Bush says.......
The response is: "Is that the truth this time? Or will there be a "clarification" tomorrow?"

4. Painting Gore as flip-floppy
and a guy who would say anything, or claim anything, WAS an effective strategy by the GOP.

They made Gore out to be a flip-flopper and a liar, and the media played right along with the GOP on these smears. Hell, even people in our own party were believing the crap the GOP and the media were saying about Gore.

Don't brush off what Bush said so lightly. The GOP will just MAKE STUFF UP about our nominee, regardless of who it is, and the media WILL GO ALONG with it.

We have a tough fight and NObody's favorite nominee will fare so well under the bullshit that the GOP will throw and smear. And the media plays along.

The fact that Kerry and Edwards and the rest KNOW this will and still want to be President makes me respect them both very much and I will be very supportive of our nominee and will try to fight the BS that the GOP starts slinging.

Uphill battle time.

6. the difference this time
will be that Kerry will fight back. Gore just let things pass. You don't think Kerry has ammo? This is Bush. There is enough ammo to win multiple elections, and Kerry won't be afraid to use it. Plus, everyone's favorite rebel Ralph Nader will be hurling invective at the White House squatter as well. Bush is goiong to be put on the defensive, something the Dems have not been able to do recently. Fortunately, they now have an unmissable target.
