Yeah, yeah, yeah. I do solemnly swear to support the eventual nominee of our party...

in spite of the fact that all but one of the candidates supported the Iraqi War Resolution...

in spite of the fact that almost all of them supported the Homeland Defense Department...

in spite of the fact that almost all of the supported the Patriot Act...

in spite of the fact that almost all of them stood silent as we invaded Iraq illegally...

in spite of the fact that some of our candidates criticized John Murtha when he called for ending the war in Iraq...

in spite of the fact that one of our candidates voted for the Kyle/Lieberman resolution on Iran

in spite of the fact that the war in Iraq continues to be funded by a Democratic House and Senate...

in spite of the fact that the Democrats that control Congress let Bush continue eavesdropping on Americans...

in spite of the fact that the Democrats that control Congress have not sent Bush a bill restoring Habeas Corpus rights...

Yeah, even in spite of all of that, I will support our nominee...

But on days like today, I wish that either Al Gore or Howard Dean were running to be President.

1. Amen to that.
I am not overwhelmed by our choices. Good folks, but each with such glaring weaknesses.

2. Depressing isn't it. Will just have to kick republican ass so bad this time.
That we have enough of Washington to over-ride anybody's veto. I can here them say in my head, "The left has no were to go". I hate that!

4. That's another thing, Joanne98: "The Left has nowhere to go."
Yeah, that really bites me, too.

Wake me up from my dream of Al or Howard running. Nah, don't wake me.

5. Hi David
I hope all is well with you and yours. :hi:

On days like today, this Deaniac even wishes that Kerry was running. :)

I must admit, though, that I am not as good a Dem as you, since there is at least one candidate for whom I will not vote. As I've said before, tis the only advantage to living in the hellhole that is Texas- my vote doesn't count anyway. Depending on the nominee, I just might write in Segolene Royal because of many of the very things you cite.
