1. I am sorry if you are frustrated
But just keep in mind there's only 7 days left til the election. I just want you to think about the reaction here to Billy shaheen's comments, the consequences, and what is going on with Obama's chief strategist . All we are asking is that everyone is held to the same standard.

I just don't think Axelrod can handle a general election with his big mouth.

If you want your candidate elected, you might try to convince us that he/she does not surround himself/herself with a bunch of fucking morons.

32. Funny
For me it's the Obama supporters that are making me wretch. If he's the nom in the general, he can count on my vote (as any Dem can), but his supporters on this board are like simple minded children.

7. I Understand Your Frustration
The very fact that this infighting is embraced by some of those in the top tier does not draw me to them...in the least. We don't have time for this school yard crap. The world is in trouble. We need someone who will not stoop to childish mudslinging.

You know who I support...

11. It is the maturity (for the most part) of the people in your camp
plus their enthusiasm, which has made me take a second look at Biden. Kudos for that.

23. LittleClarkie...
Not every Biden supporter takes the high road. However, I must say that they, by far, are most respectful of other candidates and their supporters. They have tried to gain attention for their candidate by talking about his policies and his record and not by tearing down other members of our party.

I would like to think that the mindset of Biden supporters are not unlike the Senator himself.

34. ME TOO!!
I was so disgusted with the nasty and juvenile venom being tossed around 24/7 by some of the camps that I decided to check out Biden, Dodd and Richardson.

I found I really like Biden and the more he speaks the more I like his ideas.

Maybe if they keep it up he will break into the double digits !

8. There are fools in every camp.
Make up your own mind based on your assessment of the candidates, not based on peripheral personalities and their cheap sniping.

The frustration and disgust you're feeling is exactly why I have been using the ignore feature liberally for the past couple of months. It really helps and I strongly recommend it.

Edited on Thu Dec-27-07 05:24 PM by LittleClarkie
I know someone who knew him, and said that even though they hate lawyers, they loved him. That's a pretty good endorsement.

Wish I didn't feel like he'd dissed Kerry though. Kerry's my bud.

of the drain icident. Her and she both Mom endorsed him. She said he was her daghters "champion" and not just her lawyer. She said his integrity shone through his eyes. I have met John many times and feel the same. This is a good man.he may not be perfect but he is good, and I too, as you know , love John Kerry.

19. Hey LittleClarkie, I understand your frustration with Edwards comments on Kerry.
I personally think he had to do that to move himself away from the 'loss' in 2004.

He didn't want to be seen as the loser.

I think out of all the candidates running, John Edwards has the best message and best vision for our country. I was a Kerrycrat for Kerry, as you know. And we all wish he would have ran. But I'm glad even though he isn't running, his running mate from 2004 is. Kerry picked Edwards for a reason. Not just because of his appeal to southern and midwestern voters. But because of his message of hope and opportunity, and his obsession with giving every American the chance to live the American dream like he did.

I hope you consider all these things :)

But yes, I share your frustration about Obama and Clinton. Obama is my second choice, but the tone he's taken in the last week or so has really made me shake my head.

21. I don't see the problem really. I've been watching the politics of this country
Edited on Thu Dec-27-07 06:18 PM by acmavm
for a LONNNNGGG time and so help me I've never seen anything like this. The republican party have a slate of the biggest nincompoops that ever disgraced American politics. The dems have a much better group as far as ethics and decency go, but a three of are so opportunistic and self-serving that you'd better count the fillings in your mouth if they're anywhere near.

Regardless, this has been the most entertaining political farce I've ever seen. It's gone on toooo long. Way tooooo long. As the primaries get closer the two 'leaders' and they followers are starting to act like they need to be checked for rabies. I cannot believe the animosity and hostility between the two camps. I love it! It's been so damn entertaining. You just couldn't make this shit up. The accusations their supporters sling around, whoooo-eeee! You almost need to be vaccinated in order to read some of these threads. And being an impartial observer I've tried to figure out which camp in the worst, Hil's or Barrie's. I gotta tell ya, I don't know. The venom factor is pretty evenly divided.

I am always claiming that I hate 'reality t.v.' and I look down on people who think that shit is real. Well, this campaign season has been reality internet. And believe me, nothing you'll ever see on t.v. can compete with the nastiness, name calling, lies, and bullshit you can see thrown between those two camps on a daily basis.

I LOVE IT!!

30. "who supports, I'm guessing, Kucinich. Right?"
I do like Kucinich on the issues- but, truth be told, I don't have a dog in this fight. Just sort of looking back at all of this from another country's (and set of peoples') lenses.

From this vantage, what I read from the states sure does look (and feel) like what I observed in high school.

Sorry to have to say that- but it's the truth, as compiled from what I've seen and heard, both here and there.

Seems almost like a race to the lowest common denominator.

29. kudos
Kudos to the Dodd, Richardson, Biden, Kucinich and Edwards supporters for taking the high road more often than not, even when under extreme provocation, and for being so considerate and rational when explaining why they support their candidates. I think those candidates, and their supporters, are moving the party to where it once was and needs to be again. As I have said, let's run to the heart, not to the middle - to our shared concerns, to taking care of the desperate needs of the people, to the traditional principles and ideals of the Democratic party.
