How many bimbo eruptions will the GOP trot out if HRC is the nominee?
I'm hearing that the Republicans are laying in wait on Hillary cause they have some at least a couple of women that they will claim had an affair with Bill Clinton AFTER he left the White House. So that is likely why the Republicans are praying and hoping that Hillary wins the nomination cause they will be able to trot out all of Bill's mistresses and bring us back to the 90's again.

So my question is, how devastating it will be to HRC's campaign? And how many women do you think there are laying out there waiting? This stuff will basically ensure that a Republican wins in 2008. We can't afford this happen.

20. I think it's very, very funny and you should be uncomfortable about it
because if you decide to back this woman you're going to have to deal with this stuff every single day.

People say Dennis Kucinich is unelectable, but I bet $1 the GOP doesn't have his ex-lovers on retainer so this country's presidential election can be about as classy as the Jerry Springer show.

And Dennis, unlike HRC, ain't in bed with corporate interests.

I expect the next attack to have still photos if not video.

I have no doubt Bill is still a hound.

I simply think that Hilliary could distance herself and gain a huge following by denouncing Bill. Not divorcing...denouncing.

The world will be alert, anxious about a number of serious issues and the republicans will respond by pulling the 8-year stale cock and waving it people's faces. Any exploit of Bill's has a chance to strenthn Hillary, percieved as the victim.

at the worst (for them) to be their "trustworthy" DINO shill in the WH who at least nominally supports continuation their insane ME policies.

18. Are you kidding me?

The repuklicans wouldn't be going after Hillary full bore as they had been if they WANTED her to be the nominee.

The fact of the matter is, they have nothing on her that hasn't already been hashed and re-hashed a thousands times, and that most Americans just don't buy. The world and Americans LOVED Bill, his approval ratings only went UP during the whole impeachment B.S., and he left office with one of the highest approval ratings of any president.

If there is one thing people, especially you ultra prudish republicans and/or democrats out there, should have learned by now, it's that Americans DO NOT like political parties sniffing around people's pants unless that person is involved with someone underage or they are regularly pounding the pulpit of hypocracy (and as far as I know neither Bill or Hillary are constantly on the stump about the sinful evils of adultery which need to be stamped out in America and touting how America needs to get back to some fantasy land fantasy Biblical purity in regard to sex).

At any rate, Republicans are very afraid of Hillary being the nominee because she would be extremely difficult (if not impossible) to beat. The huge percentage of the women's vote alone she would receive is more than enough for her to win, on top of the fact that Republicans are in the dog house with the American people.

22. TONS

And that will work too, because most Americans have NOT used cocaine and consider it a pretty harsh drug.

The American people ALSO expect a candidate to lie about any such use. They expect it to be SO shameful, that a candidate will lie about it, and be MUCH too shamed to ever admit to any past use. Americans understand such lies. They understood when Bill lied about Monica, and they understood why Bush would lied about his past cocaine use.

So.... while it's commendable that Obama would be honest about it, that does NOT wash with the American public, a public that believes he should be SO ashamed and embarrassed by it, and SO aware that people don't want to hear about it so they can live in a fantasy world of pristine candidates, that he should lie about it till his grave.

So Obama stepped in it with that one. Cocaine is not marijuana, which a far greater percentage of Americans are familiar with. Obama's admittance to past use will NOT go well for him (except perhaps in some small constituency).

Nobody knew that JFK was doing it because the press didn't report it.
Nobody believed that GWHB did it.

BUT,
Gary Hart lost the nomination because of his Monkey Business.
Bill Clinton got impeached.
Newt Gingrich will never be elected to anything ever again.
Rudy Giuliani has lost the support of countless voters because of it.

53. That impeachment hurt Bill Clinton's opponents.

Newt is out, not because of his infidelity, but because he was stupid enough to impeach Clinton over something about which NOBODY CARED.

Gary Hart lost because he QUIT. Polls afterwards showed he lost virtually NO support prompting him to jump back in. People dropped him then (I was one) because of his lack of guts in dropping out in the first place.

I am real. The unreal people are the fraction of a percent who do care and are too fucking stupid to realize nobody else does.

66. No, the OP is asking a perfectly legit question that Republicans surely have researched well.
Go figure.

If that's not a Clinton-hater, I don't know what is.

68. Did Monica have a stained dress? Did Gennifer Flowers record Bill's calls? Did Paula Jones....

The list goes on and on, I'm sure. Love all the questions BluegrassDem asks. Wish she'd/he'd ask more. Every day.

70. Read some statistics on how many men
have affairs out of marriage. JFK and many other rich, powerful, successful men in power have the same problem. Some men have a high libido or didn't you notice? Bet there are few rock stars, athletes or movie stars who aren't doing the same thing...even many preachers. So have a little understanding.

I'm not saying it's a virtue or nice...just that it's understandable and maybe even standard for men in his position...so maybe he's normal. Isn't that how it's in the animal world? The most attractive powerful male get all the females and Bill is an attractive, powerful, male/animal. Think about it. Also remember many successful men have high testosterone levels and that has something to do with drive to achieve power and all the perks that goes with it. That's why I would never want to marry a macho, rich powerful man...so I don't approve of it but I understand psychology and nature. Obviously you don't or are just a Clinton hater posting on a positive Clinton thread and you don't belong here. Bye.

71. yes, what's a guy to do when...
a 'bimbo' takes out that female voodoo magic and makes him do things he ought not. succubuses, all of them, using poor helpless men like Bill. And what's Hillary to do - she must stand by her man even though he is embarrassing the crap out of her - self respect should count for something.

73. So you're saying every woman who has had a cheating husband
should divorce him? Wow, the divorce rate would explode. I condemn what Bill did but he isn't embarrassing the crap out of her. How can she be so terribly embarrassed when she's married to the most popular man in the world ...according to polls taken world wide? Yes, it was terribly humiliating but I frankly believe in understanding, forgiveness and intention. ie...he didn't intend to hurt her and was reacting on his own psychic and psychological problems and deserves some understanding...especially on a Democratic forum. This isn't the Free Republic last time I looked...or is it?
