And I may add, I doubt Dennis would aprove of his followers voting for a third party looser, after all, voting for Nader is voting for Bush... so why not just avoid the embarrasment and pull that lever for George? You are anyhow...

reason to come at it in a rational manner and not go freaking out .

we can make it so important we lose our focus on getting a good candidate the Dems can vote for or we can focus on all our fears ( real or imagined) about Ralph.....its just another choice in how we want to approach things.

8. Hear fuckin' hear!!
I've spent the last two days trying to knock a whole in the wall so that these Nadir-backers could see the light, but you can't reach 'em. Everytime I try to tell a Nadir fan that he/she is fucking up MY future and MY FAMILY'S future just so that they can preen and strut in all their libber-than-thou glory, I get them telling me things like, "too bad. You guys didn't want Dean, so nyah nyah nyah. Woof woof blah blah, special interests follow blindly, Kerry is an enabler, etc, etc." It's like they're all reading from the same flyer!
And the most ironic part is that not only did I vote for Nadir in 2000, I also was a HUGE Dean supporter who contributed to his campaign!! You'd think that the voice of some experience would count for something, but no....I learned from my mistakes, just like in 05, these guys are definitely going to learn the hard way that the mandirinate is not the electorate.

BUSH WANTS ARMAGEDDON, and he WILL go to great lengths to bring about the "end times." If you REALLY think that four years under Kerry would be as bad as that, man....you really need to set your priorities in order; I'm sorry.

Third Party Vote in 04 = Bush Presidency in 05.

I want to hear them, in 2007, when we're all being herded into boxcars, STILL tell me that there's no difference between the two major parties.

At the same time this fellow lambasts other politicians for doing the same thing. Your avatar is a far better man than Ralph, and I cannot believe anyone who does the research on this vulture of idealists would give him two minutes of time or two dollars of money. Truly, he is the most shameless of hypocrites. You want the info on him? Go to this thread, and in the future RESEARCH the people you choose to support. I'll kick it since it seems most Nader supporters have not even looked at his financial records and parsed them with his statements. Unbelievable.

30. LOL bub, you have no clue about me!
Oh I know perfectly well of where I speak, for I too was part of the Dem herd for years and decades, hell I even voted for Gore in '00, (with proper application of a noseclip). However watching the corporate corruption of BOTH parties turned me off to the Democratic party for a long time, if not ever. And don't give me that bull about changing the party from within, been there, done that, and the party is still shaking it's moneymaker out on Wall Street.

No, now I'm going to simply work for the rise of a third party that takes no corporate cash, and hence is only answerable to the voters. It is a long term goal, thus the work has to start now. If you don't like that, TS, I have a thick skin and the protests of the rabid horde don't bother me.

But hey, when the Dems sell out your job, your enviroment, and your very soul for their thirty pieces of corporate silver, there will be a place where you can find haven. Remember that, because it is more than the Dems will give out.

44. Nor do you know about me.
I'm a former Green. I voted for Nadir in 2000, and what did that get me? Oh, yeah, a big stinkin' pile of Bush-shit.

I advocate voting Green in local elections this year, but not this general election, not with the stakes this high. There's too much to lose this year. Kerry, indeed, is not the savior (neither is Ralph, but that's a whole 'nother thread.) but he WILL make it a whole lot less scary to open the newspaper everyday. And while the nation rights itself and moves back to the center, then we can all work together on overhauling the system. All I ask of the Nader backers here is to understand that this election is too crucial to lob protest votes over the fence. Four more years of Bush will mean terrible things for this country and I see no evidence that John Kerry will be anywhere NEAR as bad.

Yes, the corporate state needs to be dismantled. Yes, Kerry's not perfect. But Bush NEEDS TO GO, and right now, Kerry (or Edwards) has the only shot to do that.

Too bad, because he used to do some good. He can't even stick to the Green party. But are his supporters idiots? I believe that most Nader supporters are manipulated, just like many Republican voters are. Idiots is a strong word, though. I don't see a third party vote as a bad thing as long as those voters don't complain too much about having to live with Bush, but I personally can't see the Nader fixation.

67. Go Ahead!
Nothing like throwing gasoline on a fire. Good chance it'll only cause Nader supporters to dig in their heels even deeper. Basically you just said you don't want them and don't need them in 2004, which they likely feel the same way. After the election would be a good time to ponder whether the party needs to split into two separate parties; one moderate and one liberal. Until then, we'll let the candidates slug it out and let the chips fall where they may.

Nader Supporters couldn't fucking care less about this Country and the direction it's heading in. If they did they wouldn't prop up Ralph the Ego-Maniac! Ohhhhh please, please don't hurt the Nader Lovers cause we need may need them.... I say if they're fence sitting between Nader and an actual shot of beating George Fucking Bush then they're idiots!
Whhhaaaa ...is it their protest VOTE?! Oh...I can't vote for a Dem like Kerry cause he's Repub-lite! Cute Huh...

Same FFFing reasoning as in 2000.... Look around Nader lovers...see what the repukes have wrought! What?...you can sleep better at night because you er stood up for your supposed Liberal principals because you voted for the Independent Nader. Barf! How you going to sleep in the next couple of years if Bush gets the Nod with a little bit of your help? How you going to sleep as you see Roe/Wade overturned by a newly formed Supreme Court....How you going to sleep as you see the expansion of the Patriot Act!!!!

How you going to sleep as you see more War dead coming home in body bags...body bags being sent home from Iran and Syria!!!!!!! How you going to sleep with the nightmares of your Children living in a Country that defaulted on their loans and goes spiraling into Depression!!!!!!! How you going to sleep at night with Alaska is being paved into a parking lot for big oil!!!!!!

OH but you sleep well tonight Nader Lovers knowing that you taught us Dems a lesson by voting for Ralph Fucking Nader!

70. I live in a state where the 2000 election was very close
And after watching Nader on MTP yesterday, I will vote for Nader 2004. Only Howard Dean has come close to inspiring me like Nader did when talking about the special interests taking over the democratic party. John Kerry -- he is part of the establishment and I cannot plug my nose and vote for this guy when Nader is on the ballot. And if Bush is re-elected, so be it. Until the dem party starts nominating progressive candidates, we can expect third party challengers.
