1. Biden will be a powerful member of President Richardson's team.

2. Depends if we get another puppet
I say we'll have another Cheney in that case, otherwise expect the VP to go back to being a shadow position.

3. I don' t think our next Demo VP can play a shadow role -
There is too big a mess to clean up after 8 years of Bush both in our nation and the world.

6. No More Political Appointees for agency and department heads and
diplomatic roles. We need experienced people in the field and foreign nations. i.e.-It fractures me to see Bush people in the DOE trying to push more uranium mining in areas that have not been cleaned up from the old, abandoned mines in the West.

9. It's really mind-boggling too see just how many cronies were appointed to jobs
they had absolutely no training for. They also seem to make absolutely no effort to understand the needs of the situation (other than profit.)

It's time for some grown-ups who actually care about what they do to take the country back.

5. If you notice
Our party leaders don't seem too concerned about the level of damage, as long as it gets them elected.

7. It really depends
Cheney had unprecedented levels of power given to him by Bush. Usually the President might give that kind of power to someone on their staff but not the Vice President.

I don't think the next VP will have that kind of power. They could have as much influence as say Al Gore had in the Clinton Administration, which was quite a bit actually. Or, they may not have a solid relationship with the President and be relegated to ribbon cutting ceremonies.
