For some odd reason, apart from Kucinich, I don't see anyone ever running again.

I am an Obama supporter but I don't see if ever going through this long process again - unless there is a demand for him and he is guaranteed to win.

I don't see Hillary ever running again if she doesn't win. No need to mess up the Clinton legacy with possible two unsuccesful runs.

For Edwards, that would be two unsuccessful runs for the presidency and thus, he would never run again.

Biden, I think he should have ran in 2004. And I don't see him, Richardson, or Dodd ever running again.

I am sure Dennis will be back for a future run - and I don't mind that at all.

1. I believe Obama will
certainly run again - and win - if he doesn't get it this time. I just feel in my bones he'll be President some day.

2. I'd say Dennis, Obama would run again. Not sure about Clinton - she just might.

5. Biden, Obama, or Richardson might be our VP nominee. If so, they'll run after we win in 08.

6. What happens to the Dem who get's the Nom and loses....
That's why I worry about McCain getting the nomination. Out of the candidates likely to get the nomination I don't think any of them can beat McCain. I support Obama but I would feel awful if he got the nomination and lost. If HRC, JE, or Obama get's the nom and LOSES...THAT'S IT FOR THEM. PERIOD!

The Dem that lost THIS election would be in political purgatory. If McCain gets the nom I hope HRC wins the nomination that way after she loses (and she most likely will) we don't have to worry about the Clinton's domination of the party. :hide:

9. In 8 years
Obama will run again. If Obama is not the VP it will be an interesting fight. But i agree that he will be president one day. Just this time around.

10. It largely depends on whether or not we win in '08
I don't mean to imply that I hope this happens but Obama would be the presumptive frontrunner in 2012 if Clinton is nominated and loses the general election, similar to the way Gary Hart was the presumptive frontrunner in 1988 after Mondale lost in 1984.

I could certainly see Richardson throwing his hat back in the ring, maybe Edwards, but I doubt it. Biden and Dodd will be too old in eight years.

11. I certainly see Obama running again if he fails to win the nomination this...
time around. He is certainly qualified and now knows exactly what sort of track record he needs to succeed.

Cynthia McKinney, depending on how she does playing with the Greens, might well come back and run as a Dem. She is a very powerful speaker and a bright lady.

Richardson might make the run again.

As for the rest, age is working against them at this point. It is essentially now or never.

12. Clinton could potentially be very old if she decides to run again..
Obama is young...he's almost certain to run again. Edwards is probably done after this go around. But I think he could potentially show up in N.C. and run for the Senate again or maybe Govenor.

14. I agree, running for president has changed. You have to start early and campaign often.

Unlike the past when you could get in late.
