Can Ron Paul win Iowa?
Edited on Mon Dec-24-07 10:04 PM by antiimperialist
I was looking at the latest ARG poll numbers, and in just 4 days, Ron Paul's numbers more than doubled: from 4% to 10%.

Dec. 16-19 vs. Dec. 20-23
Giuliani 13-14
Huckabee 28%-23
McCain 20%-17
Paul 4-10
Romney 17-21
Undecided 11-8

Remember Kerry was at Paul-like lows at the period in time in 04.

2. His campaign effort here in Iowa is pretty half-assed, so I can't
imagine he's expecting a whole lot in terms of results here - I'm guessing he's employing the big guns in New Hampshire.

7. I don't think he'll win, but he may place ahead of Rudy Giuliani.

I think that would be a pretty good outcome from our perspective.

We need to eliminate GOP contenders who might be competitive. Rudy's kind of in a downspin, and it would be a sweet thing if Ron Paul could finish him off in the Hawkeye State.

8. Survey says?
Not a chance. His personal numbers are atrocious; while he might go a bit higher, he has the lowest ceiling of any candidate.

9. Still, Sir, He Will Break Ten Percent In New Hampshire
And that will be the 'story' coming out of the first wave of the primaries on the Republican side.
