Show Nader that Dean supporters ARE Democrats foremost!
Nader should not get a single vote from any true Democrat. We have decided as a group, that the most important topic, which most of us agree on, is that Bush and gang MUST GO!

Vote for Dean in the primaries! Show Nader that he does not have a hope of our Vote!

Dean wants us to vote for him still! He did not withdraw, so all this talk of us going over to Nader or with anyone else, is wishful thinking. But, let's make sure that Nader knows he is NOT our alternative candidate.

Whomever all of the voters in the Primaries decide is our Nominee, at the Convention, is OUR CANDIDATE! Most of us will work hard, give money and do whatever it takes to get OUR DEMOCRATIC NOMINEE elected as President.

But, until the Convention, please, let us vote our choice! Support our right to our choice, in the Primary season. We will be supporting whomever wins at the Convention and in the General Election, whole heartedly!

7. voting our party
yes.
yes.
yes.

we have to do this to get bush and co. out of the whitehouse.

one of the biggest problems with being a liberal in this country is that we tend to focus on what we think is the right thing to do. this is an admirable way to live, but we're losing our country to conservative republicans who have a different approach: winning at any cost.

this year especially, we need to put aside our differences and find a way to win and throw the bums out! once we're back on top, we can worry about more of the details.

8. Two Co-Founders Of Generation Dean Endorse Edwards For President
I saw this on John Edwards' website.

Two Co-Founders Of Generation Dean Endorse Edwards For President

RALEIGH, NC: The Edwards for President campaign announced today that two co-founders of Generation Dean, the official youth outreach campaign of Howard Dean's presidential effort, have endorsed John Edwards for president. The endorsements by Michael Whitney and Ryan Beam underscore Senator Edwards' dedication to involving young Americans, as well as the surge of grassroots support Edwards has seen in the last week.

"I supported Howard Dean's presidential campaign because I felt that he was the candidate to take on George W. Bush," Whitney said. "He excited young voters and asked my generation to get involved. Now that Dean has stopped campaigning, the Democratic Party still faces the challenge of choosing a candidate to take on George W. Bush in November. John Edwards knows how hard it is for young Americans in today's economy. With skyrocketing unemployment and unprecedented budget deficits, young people have it worse than any other age group. I'm supporting John Edwards because we need a Democrat who can stand up to George W. Bush and who can work for young Americans."

Beam, a recent Ohio University graduate, said, "Senator Edwards has always shown a deep commitment to listening to the concerns of our generation and providing real solutions for our problems. Senator Edwards's 'College for Everyone' plan shows that he is serious about helping all young Americans get a higher education without being burdened by excessive loans. I am proud to now be supporting Senator John Edwards for president."

Previous to joining Dean for America, Whitney and Beam started organizing students through the website www.studentsfordean.org. Their innovative organizing and technological efforts paved the way for over 24,000 young people to join Generation Dean - the largest youth outreach campaign in this election cycle.

In a statement on Wednesday Edwards said, "Howard Dean has energized and revolutionized this race, and excited a whole new generation of young Americans. He deserves our thanks and so much credit for what he has accomplished. I hope he continues to offer his ideas, and encourages millions more to participate in this democracy so we win back the White House in November."

Today's endorsements come at a time when grassroots support for the Edwards campaign is surging across the country. The campaign blog has registered over a thousand new community members in the last week, and by midnight Wednesday, the campaign had raised over $450,000 online since results from the Wisconsin primary started coming in (average contribution: $79.82).

In addition to Whitney and Beam, the Edwards campaign has picked up significant support among supporters of Howard Dean's presidential campaign, including organizers in Georgia, Maryland and New York.

10. Good for Edwards
He got two new supporters. Until Dean backs Edwards, all "Dean support of Edwards" is hollow.
I like Edwards.

13. Rats will always leave the ship that they think is sinking,
Many of the "top" people who supported Dean, are jumping onto other spots, because they are "players", not true believers in their positions. Some players who supported Dean early, are finding it hard to find other spots, as punishment for their defection from the DNC choice.

I am not saying that these two young men are doing this. I don't know enough about them to make a judgement. BUT, just because those who want to be "players in the big game of politics" have decided to leave, does not mean that I or any of us should follow them. Dean has asked for our vote, STILL, and I will vote for him March 2nd.

As I say, Vote your Choice, Not the Polls!

14. but I'm *not* a Democrat foremost.
I've been a Democrat my whole life, but I'm a liberal first. I'd rather have the destination determine the mode of transport than the other way round, if you will.

And no, I'm not supporting Nader this year.

15. I am also a Liberal foremost, but this year, I will be an ABB...
Because, I fear that if we get four + more years of Bush, we will not have any parties, just the Religious Right, no rights, no liberal policies. So this year, I am a Democrat first. Right after the General Election, we need to start work on changing this country, at the local level first, working our way up from there. We also, must not forget the Congress needs to be changed. And, do not forget that the next President will be choosing four or five Supreme Court Justices. They are mostly old. Except for Scalia and Thomas. Who do you want to give that job to?

17. and as I said,
I'm not supporting Nader this year.

I recognize the need to remove Bush. I also recognize the long-term costs of ABB. I think the smart money is on these things for November-December, 2004:

- progressives will vote for the Democrat in large numbers and percentages.
- this will be understood as a glad acceptance, by progressives, of center-leaning Democratic policies.
- we will prepare to welcome the New Year...1993.

18. I miss understood your message.....
I took it to mean that you were not going to vote ABB....I will be holding my nose, but that is what I usually do. I realize now that we must all work at the local level, where we do have a chance of making changes and then when you have a base all over your state, move on up. The work must not stop! Sorry, that I misunderstood you.
