This clarified Obama’s support for the Hamilton Project, an organization formed by Citigroup chair Robert Rubin and other Wall Street Democrats to fight back against growing populist outrage within the party. And I understood why Beltway publications and think tanks have heaped praise on Obama and want him to run for President. It’s because he has shown a rare ability to mix charisma and deference to the establishment.

You're trying to sneak in Sirota's saying that Obama thinks little of Wellstone, but this piece is not the way to do it. An actual substantive quote should have been used - it was not. Just snippets, with context supplied by Sirota. Did Obama actually say that he was against Wellstone's fighting the Bankruptcy Act (which Edwards voted for twice, Clinton once)? If he did, use the quote. If there's no quote, he didn't say it.

One can only wonder if this is a junior-high-school-level hit piece.

We don't know what Obama said exactly, but Sirota tells us that it was gentle. But it was also dismissive. Oh, and laced with contempt.
