Now the Obama leads in both Iowa & NH - should Hillary pull out in favor of Edwards?
http://www.boston.com/news/nation/articles/2007/12/23/mccain_closing_gap_with_romney/

A Globe poll of New Hampshire voters last month had Romney at 32 percent, Giuliani at 20 percent, and McCain at 17 percent.

Among Democratic voters, Senator Barack Obama of Illinois has opened up a narrow lead over Senator Hillary Clinton of New York, 30 percent to 28 percent.

Barack Obama has pulled ahead in the race for Iowa's Democratic presidential caucuses, while the party's national frontrunner Hillary Clinton has slipped to second in the leadoff nominating state, according to The Des Moines Register's new Iowa Poll.

Obama, an Illinois senator, leads for the first time in the Register's poll as the choice of 28 percent of likely caucusgoers, up from 22 percent in October. Clinton, a New York senator, was the preferred candidate of 25 percent, down from 29 percent in the previous poll.

1. why would she?
from the same 30% - 28% Poll you cited:

When asked which candidate has the best chance of beating the Republican nominee, 40 percent of voters said Clinton and 29 percent said Obama, a much narrower gap than a month ago.

Nice try, though.

2. Last month it was Edwards (or Obama) pull out in favor of the other to stop Hillary - I just
thought we needed a thread like this for balance.

:-)

4. True at this point in time but check out the trend...
In the likely to beat a republican and also in the other numbers when compared to the Globe's last polling.

7. Iowa is a tie at the moment, and Clinton is ahead in NH.

8. HA HA HA HA HA HA
I think Obama should run for the hills he is going to be the most embarrassed senator who ever tried to run for the president. His name will be associated with a goof ball like Alan Keyes who runs for everything, in any state he can.

15. Interesting. I continue to see the same opinion from those who

don't support him & those who know him best.

Not everybody liked him; one Senate colleague described him as so ambitious that given the chance, he'd run for "king of the world." - Abner Mikva

16. Dennis is a protest with "new ideas" campaign with near zero staff - can't see a drop out :-) I'd
rather like him to stay in to the end as his "new ideas" are those I and many want.

18. These polls aren't necessarily accurate. Obama may very well lose both Iowa and New Hampshire
Then the question is: when is Obama dropping out? If Hillary loses both, it's going to get real interesting. When would she drop out? I think any candidate who fails to place top 2 in Iowa, New Hampshire and Nevada will face huge pressure to get out of the race.
