3. It works everywhere else.

And with the resources that this country has at its disposal, we could easily overcome the problems that single payer has found in other places.

It's nearly the year 2008. And I still have a paper copy of my shot record that goes back to the 70's. A national system would save lives just by having the records securely available to doctors anywhere.

A Canadian DUer, though, said it took years it get it implemented up there, so we do need some changes NOW.

Most of the candidates say "affordable", and some even say insurance will be "required".

I just heard today that people are charging their heating oil otherwise they wouldn't be able to have heat this winter. I wonder what those people would consider "affordable".

And if someone CAN'T afford it, if it's "required", what happens if they are in an accident or something?

I don't think these health care proposals go far enough.

But it IS a great chart, I'm just not too pleased by what I saw. Thanks for posting it! :hi:
