Huckabee's persistent use of 'Democrat Party'
Anyone else perturbed by it? He is the only viable candidate who seems to be using it. Will anyone call him on it? Supposed compassionate conservatives don't use such divisive language!

1. Aww schucks
Huckabee will smile and laugh and tell a joke about how his grandmother did something and everyone laughed including the family dog, no wait...

2. It doesn't bother me when
Republics display their ignorance. What bothers me is when people who kno better , don't correct them

5. The best way to respond?
I think the best way to respond is to ask them why they fear the word democratic?

Put them on the defensive.

4. I am more perturbed by his pro-rapist, pro-criminal stances and
the fact that he thinks Jesus rode a dinosaur.

7. Jesus didn't ride a dinosaur? (pics)

He probably had to kill one to eat though, right?

15. Jesus would never ride a dinosaur
He has far too much respect for them to do that.

Suffer the little dinos to come unto me.

19. It makes sense now...
Easter...the bunny...the eggs.

It all comes down to dinosaurs.

Thank you Jebus.

6. Yes. McCain says it, too. Usually with the words, "my friends," before or after...
He'll say something like, "And it's the Democrat majority, my friends, that are waving that white flag of surrender." :eyes:

14. "Republic" is the Form of Government Spelled Out in Our Constitution
The Repiglicons have been doing everything they can to shred the Constitution.

9. I couldn't care less what he says.
I figure he's insane from his brand of extremist pseudo-Christianity, so anything he says is invalid.

11. It's a perfect tool.
It's subtle. It only pisses off Democrats. Republicans can use it all day long. It might be code for their supporters that says "Look, I'm poking these guys in the eye, and nobody sees it but us!"

Anybody who calls him on it in public is spending time on that rather than an important issue.

I'm not saying it shouldn't bug you, but it's not important. Who cares if he says that. At least we're not being called commies or pinkos or anything like that. Yet.

17. Consider this...
It is using the noun form in place of the adjective form. Here's another example of the identical part of speech shift: The difference between saying "Jewish banker" and saying "Jew banker". Those two phrases feel pretty different, don't they? Still think it doesn't matter? Any way you look at it, it's a demeaning and derogatory slur meant as a put-down.

22. It's defintely meant to be a put down.

But insulting a political party affiliation isn't worth the time lost explaining it to people that don't get it.

It shows them being petty. I know it, you know it, they know it.

If somebody started doing that with race or something else truly important, it would be another story.

People don't have to call themselves Democrats or Republicans, they choose to.

16. He's a jerk
and an asshole to boot.

Holy Huck will never be President no matter who he panders to. If he gets the nomination the mainstream GOP party (the folks with the money) will abandon him and save their change for 2012.

23. McCain and Huck.. far as I can tell are the only two consistently doing it..

Huck I can see... But McCain, who the MSM constantly tells him how well he does with Democratic crossovers, why would he continue to diss the correct name of our party?

Mitt & Rudy say "Democratic"... or at least the times I've heard them they do.

I have no idea what Hunter and Tancrado (is Tancrando still in the race? )
