We've seen the NE make news in politics before, so when it posts what could potentially be a public-opinion-moving piece, it seems fair to discuss it. Citing it as evidence of what it claims is a different matter. And, yes, that leaves room for people to claim purity of motive while publicizing it, but not mentioning it won't make it go away.

I didn't know about the Enquirer thing until I asked here. I got a phone call from a supporter of another candidate who thought she was rubbing my nose in a big scandal about to be outed by that Perez Hilton creature.

Whether people want to face the facts or not, this does affect the candidates. And I have to fight my way through the day at work. I'm surrounded by Bill O'Reilly listening, Rush loving wingnuts. I do not like to get my news and from those guys. And I want to be able to throw the truth back in their teeth.
