Poll question: Is it time for DUers to declare their candidate for the primaries?
We're on the doorstep of the Iowa Caucuses and many of you never mention who you are supporting.

2. Flame me if you want.
Anyone who says they don't have a candidate by now is full of cow dung.

5. nope. don't have a candidate. why do you think that's impossible?
I actually don't believe there's that much different policy wise. I committed myself 5 years ago to never vote in the primary for someone who voted for the IWR, and I'll be fine with any of them. That said, I find some more likable than others.

7. I'm undecided.
I'm not too fond of any of the candidates. Some of them have positive attributes. I'm not "in love" with any of them.

8. Iowa may be full of cow dung, but that doesn't necessarily mean that Iowans are.
About half of them decided on a nominee in the last week before the '04 caucus, so I suspect that the number of people currently uncommitted is a lot higher than you might think.

If the primary is not until March, why should I try to decide now? More likely than not, my choice will have dropped out by then. When Ohio votes we will have our eventual nominee and Dennis Kucinich. My only decision is whether I want to vote for the nominee or make a protest vote for DK.

3. For the love of God. A poll to see if it's time to take another poll?

6. I mean be open about their candidate when attacking another candidate.
Many posters will attack a Democrat without even a hint of who they may like.

9. Okay. That's reasonable. Here's the flip side:
Can rabid supporters of a given candidate quit assuming that even mild criticism is part of a broad conspiracy by their opponent?

In the past 24 hours, I've been accused of being a Hillary-loving corporatist (whatever the hell that is), an Obama apologist, and the broad-brushed Kucinich hater.

This place normally bears a strong resemblance to an insane asylum; lately, the asylums have been looking to us and saying, "See? We're not so fucking crazy"

4. I'm leaning toward John Edwards right now. But it could change
as easily as the weather.

What it yore purpose for folks to declare right now, onehandle?
