Just to be rid of all the vitriol and haters that hang around here now. The Obama fans are turning the DU and the Democratic party into a sewer. The Edwards supporters seem to be a wee bit more rational. I say good riddance, let them go and start their own party.

80. My thoughts exactly
The Obama fans are turning the DU and the Democratic party into a sewer. The Edwards supporters seem to be a wee bit more rational.

Yup. It's almost as if all the rightwing disruptors who had plans of coming to DU in disguise decided to come here and choose Obama as the candidate they'd hide behind together. What's even more disappointing is how many legitimate Obama supporters have joined with those troublemakers in their hateful anti-Clinton rhetoric and innuendo. Liberals, or any Democrats for that matter, just do not hate and lie like to the extent that those people do. Republicans do that.

Like you said, there is a difference between the Edwards supporters and the Obama supporters. The Edwards supporters, while they can be as protective about their candidate as anyone, are not only are more civil, but they're more real.

great analysis. Get rid of the Obama and Edward supporters and Clinton will win with over 95% of the vote. There is a reason why some of us do not support Clinton hubris and Clinton supporter delusional delirium. IF Clinton wins the nomination you had better pray the Obama and Edward's supporters vote for her in the GE, not vice versa.

for not doing something that I thought I had already done.
So, just how does self-castigation make one feel powerful?
You seem to have just as much insight into human behavior as you do insight into DLClinton's "progressivism"

47. What happens when Hillary comes in 4th in Iowa?
And 4th in New Hampshire? And dead last in South Carolina?

Will all the angry, desperate threads directed at other candidates the last few weeks stop, or double, as Camp Hillary melts down.......

What a ridiculous comment.

Do you remember what happened here during the last presidential primary and Kerry's win in Iowa?

I could be wrong.. but I sure don't remember you being here.

Regardless of who wins or loses, DU will not self-destruct.

The ones I'm talking about are on, shall we say, a deliberate and calculated mission to mislead from nearly the moment they arrive.
They're quite obvious to the trained eye.

The party structure and party leadership will be blamed.

The Clintophobes will leave, the Clintonites will rejoice, and everyone else will roll up their sleeves and start focusing on November.

and clearly a violation of the spirit if not the letter of DU rules.

70. We'll definitely hear even more outrageous accusations. I doubt
certain candidates' supporters will be very gracious. It will be like a therapy session for those who know no better than to have a tantrum and splatter their issues all over everyone else. It won't be fun to watch and I have no intention of doing so. I've seen the most ridiculous hyped up predictions and hope and desperation poured into polls. As long as Rudy gets what is coming to him for his lying and exploitation, whoever wins Iowa will move on to New Hampshire, then South Carolina. That's the way it works.

104. I don't know about this forum, but the Democratic Party will experience a major schism
The schism will not come if Hillary wins the nomination. The schism will come several months into Hillary Clinton's first year in office, when people realize her policies are a sugar coated version of the neocons.

The Left will pressure Hillary to dismantle Bush's police state and its gulag. Hillary will refuse. The civil war will begin!

116. When the primaries are over and the Democratic nominee is announced...
When the primaries are over and the Democratic nominee is announced-- whoever that nominee may be, there will be a lot of people who simply leave DU-- and good fucking riddance to 'em, too.

Maybe a week or two of some melodramatic gnashing of teeth, maybe a month of some good old fashioned righteous indignation, and then...

And then we can all concentrate on the real enemy once again-- remember them? Neo-Cons... the one's who are ruining our planet, our future and our reputation?

Yeah-- I know, it's the primaries-- and I'll cut a little slack to all the suckers and hacks who carp on the negatives of other candidates rather than the positives of their own (and, let's be honest here-- DU'er who actually do that really are suckers and hack).

But once the nominee is announced, good riddance to the Paulines, the GOP lite'ers and the "my candidate or we all blow up" posters. Good riddance to 'em, fuck 'em, and don't forget to send a postcard.
