A Hillary nomination would be awful for Democrats nationwide
Edited on Tue Dec-18-07 01:20 PM by brentspeak
The overwhelming feelings of the rank-and-file Democrats towards Hillary Clinton are either a) antipathy; and b) (more importantly) apathy. Except for the anonymous Clinton supporters posting here on DU, I don't know of anyone who actually supports her. I can't think of any Democrat in the past who had divided the Democrats as much as Hillary Clinton. Don't think the Republicans aren't counting on a Hillary nomination: not only would it greatly increase their chances of retaining the White House, but it would virtually guarantee them of regaining control of Congress. Hillary is sort of the anti-RFK, as far as the Democratic rank-and-file is concerned.

3. Last time I checked RFK Jr. isn't RFK.
I made a thread about Edwards reminding me of RFK and all I got was one of his kids is supporting Edwards, so he obviously doesn't agree with my view.

And?

Last time I checked the son of RFK can make his own decisions. I doubt he makes his endorsements thinking what would my dad do.

2. For me, it's not Hillary who is the problem...
But the corporate-friendly DLC ~ any of their candidates would be bad for the Democratic party, and for democracy.

4. Hillary has the highest approval rating amongst Democrats running (in the 80's)
The rest is more unsupported bullshit.

10. Yours is a worn-out, age-old excuse/myth/fear tactic that's never been proven to be right even once
I don't know of anyone who actually supports her

I love how once every week or so someone tries this feeble Rovian rightwing ploy of scaring people away from Hillary by claiming they don't know anyone who actually supports her. I guess these people must all live in the same cave if they really believe this crap.

12. I don't know any who support her either
NAFTA - Clintons, Kick you off Welfare after 5 years - Clintons, Bush I let off - Clintons, Monica destroyed Dem party with blowjobs - Clintons,

Bill's affairs in 2002 with Lisa Belzberg and Belinda Stronach are due to be published as soon as Hillary has the nomination wrapped up.

So vote Obama, Edwards has no $$ and Obama has $36 mil COH!
