Travolta/Cruse 08 - The Scientology Ticket
Since Romney and Huckabee have been insisting that a candidate's personal religious beliefs should not be a factor, and that by being asked about their beliefs they are being subject to a "religion test", I wonder how they would feel about a John Travolta/Tom Cruise ticket. Would the fact that those men hold religious beliefs different theirs matter, or should we just disregard what people think about the nature of reality?

I mean, sure Scientologists believe that a galactic demi-god named Xenu gathered up souls, dumped them into volcanoes, and then H-bombed them millions of years ago, and that these souls (aka Thetans) inhabit everyone, causing their neurosis - but that is a PRIVATE religious belief.

Of course, all REAL Americans believe that a demi-god named Yahweh drowned every person and animal and saved only 8 of his faves because he was pissed that some voyeuristic angels had come down from heaven and were sleeping with women. They know this Yahweh has a real bad temper - HE WANTS BLOOD. Infinite amounts of it. Lucky for us, he made himself into a human, had himself tortured and killed, thereby shedding adequate blood to satisfy his blood-lust. Then, three days later it was "Night of the Living Saviour" as the wholly human/wholly demi-god guy came alive and walked (flew?) out of his grave! So now, we can all live forever and ever in Heaven with Yahweh and his zombie son/human self, IF - and this is a big if - only we will drink his blood and eat his flesh! Wow, that is SO much more believable than all that kooky stuff about Xenu and the Thetans!

2. I spent some time working in Clearwater, FL--home of Scientology.
People walking around town in navy-blue pilot uniforms--freaky shit.

3. Ahhhh the Sea Org
They have their own Navy ya know...

You see, L. Ron thought he would start with a Sea Org, and then move to a Space Org. When Hubbard's Navy signs up, they sign up for a million years. Seriously.
