the democratic candidates are kind of all the same
with the exception of Kucinich, who is distinct from the rest.

So all this intense feeling by supporters of a particular candidate toward some other candidate is kind of insane.

An idea for people who really really dislike some candidate. Suppose you let go of that strong feeling? I get the idea that people think they for some reason should feel that strongly, but my suggestion is to ask yourself, why? Would the world end if you eased up a little?

1. I'm also confused by the intense dislike & wonder why people don't put that emotional energy into
explaining why they like their candidate rather than hate the other candidates.

2. Yes and no.
It would appear so on the surface. They are trying to sell to the same group of voters. One needs to discern whether the sales pitch is genuine. It is not out of line to expose the hypocrisy and lies of some campaigns.

4. I don't think Edwards is that different
yes, he his populist message is distinct, but even Edwards supporters must realize that he will start compromising that message early in his presidency, and more likely during the general election.

5. You could be correct Enrique, however, he is very concerned in the
populist arena and has determination and he does believe he can bring about change for the good of the population. That being said, I understand where you think that could or would all have to change once he makes it (if he does) to the general election and once (if he were) in power. So, at this point, that is speculation.
