A VERY simple solution to the so-called Nader "problem"...
Co-opt the green agenda.
Make it our own.

Bring the greens on board and stop being afraid of what the pubs think about it. Reducing corporate power and increasing human rights is NOT something to be ashamed of. This is our country and we should be proud to advance such a positive vision.

Just do it!

Will bring back rope manufactuing to the U$.
You see, nothing has been found to substitute for hemp rope: used by fire fighters (because synthetic ropes burn with toxic fumes and melt), mooring of big ships (stretch factor, if it stretches like mountain ropes, goes too far and is weak (breaks in the bounce factor), don't want it to stretch too much (splunking, stabbed by a staligmite) but is more apt to break if too many lbs per sq ft is applied, etc.
Peace would be great too, except for that we need social justice.

8. Moorings of big ships...
Sorry, US Navy ships (including Aircraft Carriers, not much gets bigger) use synthetic lines, and have for decades.

Hemp line was used; and due to a shortage of Hemp in WW2, farmers were encouraged to grow it in the US, the laws against growing hemp temporarily suspended...

7. nonsense!
Nader agrees with the dems on nearly EVERY ISSUE! He only goes a little bit further with environmental and WORKER protection issues. I don't think this will hurt us at all. If we take these issues away from him, he will likely drop out and throw his support to our nominee who will already enjoy broad ABB support. This is very do-able.

So that won't work...

5. I'm watching him now on MTP rerun...He's an egomaniac! It's his EGO!
Edited on Sun Feb-22-04 10:40 PM by glarius
He doesn't CARE that he might be responsible for tipping the balance in Bush's favour....He's JUST A BIG EGO!!!...I don't care what good things he has done in the past....It's too crucial now that Bush be beaten...That should be his main concern....HE'S ALL EGO!

11. But then
the DLC would get mad, because they're trying to convince everyone that the country really is moving to the right.

Besides, if they did that, then the legions of haters around here would have to find some other target to spew their bile at.
