Delaware UAW endorse Senator Biden for President
Yesterday, the Delaware UAW CAP voted to endorse their senior US Senator Joe Biden in his bid for the Democratic Presidential nomination. There were no votes in opposition.

Senator Biden has been a strong supporter of organized labor ever since he was first elected to the US Senate in 1972. He has fought strongly to defend both the Chrysler and General Motors manufacturing plants in his state.

5. We all did
I didn't have my hopes up though. I figured maybe Edwards or Obama. Clinton was a total shock.

6. Yeah - isn't it interesting that the rumors we've seen here -- picked up from
various sources, indicated Edwards or Obama? I really thought it would be one of them. I think Hillary took a lot of people by surprise, if only because her name hadn't been whispered about as the recipient.

12. Yes, we should....
I was reading that just a few seconds before they posted on the board....and I was starting to wonder if the endorsement would be the kiss of death for Joe's campaign. It might have given him a short term boost, but the DMR has a solid record of never picking the winner.

13. It would be inappropriate for any Democratic organization in Delaware not to endorse Biden

14. Just as Harkin won his state in 1992 in the Iowa caucus with 76.55%
Clinton only received 2.81% of the votes.

7. Well that says a lot about Biden being pro-labor when the UAW of his home
state endorses him. They'd certainly know first hand! Congrats, Joe!

11. Super! That had to bring a smile to Joe's face!
Getting endorsements from your home state is like having return customers. No better advertisement.

Go, Joe!
