Poll question: OK, ClinBamaWards wins the nom - so who is your VP choice to complete the ticket?
I really don't see any of the Big Three wanting/taking the VP spot, so I didn't put them in the list below. Feel free to write 'em in if you think differently.
(I'm voting for Richardson.)

5. well, assuming she gets out of Iowa with a live campaign.
Right now it appears her strategy has shifted ( yet again) to being a "Comeback kid" somewhere, anywhere....

9. Only if Lieberman turns her down.
Then again, you're probably right.... the DLC spin doctors would tell her that a "Mountain West" neocon would win more "centrist" :eyes: votes than a "Northeast Liberal" :eyes: :eyes: neocon would.

4. When I first heard Jim Webb was a possible, he was my choice!
I've watched him in hearings, on the Senate floor, ,aking speeches, and in interviews on Sun. AM TV. He has NEVER disappointed me! I think he would be an excellent choice for any Dem candidate!

8. He would be great - but he was a pretty emphatic "no" on MTP a couple of sundays ago
Russert mentioned it to him and he really seemed to want to stay in the senate.

I'm pretty sure I remember him saying something like "Well in politics you never say no, but I'm very happy where I am."

edit: I found the transcript.

MR. RUSSERT: If that nominee said to you, “Jim Webb, I want you to run as vice president because you can help me carry Virginia,” would you run?

SEN. WEBB: I don’t think that would be—first, nobody’s talking to me. And I don’t think that would be a great...

MR. RUSSERT: But what if they did? If they...

SEN. WEBB: I don’t think, I don’t think that would be a, a compelling enough reason for me to leave what I’m doing right now.

MR. RUSSERT: But you don’t rule it out?

SEN. WEBB: I just don’t—I have no desire to do it, so—and I’m not trying to be coy here. I just...

MR. RUSSERT: But you’re not ruling it out?

SEN. WEBB: I have, I have, I have a lot of loyalty to trying to move forward the Democratic Party in the right way, but I really am not interested in that.

MR. RUSSERT: And you wouldn’t accept it?

SEN. WEBB: I really—those are what ifs, and Ronald Reagan said never answer what ifs.

Clark wouldn't be a bad pick though, but he's too inexperienced in the game of politics. He definitely has to be in the cabinet though.

I am not even close to deciding who the VP would be. Way too much time left. Sorry... I can't vote.

17. Bob Graham
former senator and governor of Florida - and big time policy wonk. Smart guy with tons of experience and his integrity has shown through during the whole iraq war resolution build-up period (before he retired from the Senate in 2004.)
