And with new threats, I'd like new capabilities in our leader. My candidate served her first term in the Senate, gaining valuable personal experience. She demonstrated that she can work well with others in leadership positions and gained her colleagues' respect.

For generations of women, HRC is the strongest candidate to bring our gender's perspective to the White House. Even in 1992, that was just a whimsical notion.

And what new threats are we facing today that we didn't face at all in 1992? Terrorists? I may not be old enough to remember but I'm sure terrorists were existing in 1992.

The Iraq war resolution specified that UN inspectors should complete their work. The administration, then as now, acted lawlessly but a GOP controlled Congress acquiesced. This is history ... read the legislation yourself.

The new threat we face is a smaller world where airplanes are used as weapons. In a city like mine, the threat is nothing new ... the WTC was bombed a decade earlier. But when the White House and Pentagon become part of a deadly day, I think even liberals should sit up and take notice.

It's not a war on terrorism ... it's modernity itself that needs acknowledgment and management. We did a decent job in the 90's, though I bitterly disagree with some of the policies and intent to appeal to a sympathetic administration.

This is a female perspective: Long term, involving others and building on relationships. Beats competition and primal displays of aggression anytime, IMNSHO.
