Is Obama Hurting His Campaign By Trying to Make Money off the Cocaine Gaffe?
By all intents and purposes, this is a one-campaign attack. This is not a back and forth mud-slinging fight that some in the MSM have alluded to. Because really, the only person that's been attacking is Clinton. But is the Obama campaign hurting their chances in Iowa by keeping this in the public to make money off of it...instead of dismissing it like they should and making Clinton look the fool?

Ultimately, we all know that Clinton would much rather have Edwards win Iowa than Obama...that much is clear. A guy from the Des Moine Register was just on Hardball alluding to the idea that John Edwards is the only one who could gain from this...not Obama since he's not doing anything to squash it.

I personally think this is a bad move by the Obama campaign. I don't think they should run with this at all because it could backfire just as much as Clinton's attacks have.

3. I thought Obama was loaded with money...
why would he need to do this for the money? I wouldn't have taken the chance....too risky...

6. I'm not fond of this practice
Although I was pissed off enough to donate. But other campaigns do this, as well. I think Clinton did it about her cleavage, Edwards on being called a faggot, etc. Anyway, this fundraiser seems to be done now.

7. I had come to the conclusion that Edwards would be the benificary of this, but I never
really stopped to think why Obama would let it continue. It's really risky, if that is the intent.

8. Maybe not, but I agree with the prediction of some Obama supporters that he isn't going to win Iowa.
