Which Democratic candidates vow to hold this administration accountable?
Even though the media seems to be ignoring this statement, it really made me take notice at Thursday's debate when Barack Obama said (paraphrasing) if he were president, he would hold the Bush administration accountable.....and review everything that this administration supported. (Isn't Obama's field of expertise constitutional law?) For some reason THAT ONE STATEMENT made me think that there really is HOPE that SOMEDAY maybe this gang of thieves will be forced to explain their actions to the American people. I can't think of anyone, but are there any OTHER candidates who have vowed to do the same thing?

AND....Why isn't Bush's lack of accountability the MAIN FOCUS of ALL Democratic campaigns? This is not a partisan issue. Bush vowed to uphold OUR Constitution. He is disrespecting the Constitution, his oath, and the American people at every turn. Americans never want a repeat of this "nightmare" administration, shouldn't we take the time to examine what happened?

Bush's accountability would be the FIRST question I would ask ANY candidate. Isn't that the main reason we are all so angry?

1. I can think of a candidate who has been demanding accountability for YEARS
Unfortunately, he was deliberately excluded from yesterday's alleged "debate". :(

5. Exactly - we learned that lesson when Clinton deep-sixed all the outstanding matters
of IranContra, Iraqgate, BCCI and CIA drugrunning throughout the 90s for Poppy Bush.

There should never have been a Bush2 even POSSIBLE by the end of 1994.

13. Unless I misunderstand

The OPs question has to do with unconstitutional policies the Bush Presidency has implemented through signing statements --because that's what Obama was referring to in her post.

If the issue is which candidate has said they will pursue criminal charges against Bush --that would be none of them (including Dennis)

Dennis has said he will bring Impeachment against Bush, I'm not aware of him saying that he will throw Bush in jail. Though I'd be happy if he did say that.

12. "Why isn't Bush's lack of accountability the MAIN FOCUS of ALL Democratic campaigns?"
Because it's a moot point the instant they take office.

14. Here's press release from Governor Richardson promising investigations.
Here's the thread where I posted it.

"America's reputation, liberties, and moral leadership continue to be assaulted by Vice President Cheney and President Bush. If this Congress again fails to get to the bottom of these outrages, I will begin serious investigations as President on January 20th, 2009. We can and must find out who is responsible. If necessary, there will be prosecutions. NO ONE IS ABOVE THE LAW
