Hillary's campaign gives credence to the RW caricature of her.
I have long rejected all the demeaning adjectives that Rush and the other Republican hit men have thrown at her over the years. But after watching Hillary and her campaign staff over the past months I really wonder.
It is unconscionable for a Democrat to race bait. Make no mistake that the image of Obama as young , black, male, drug dealer that Shaheen injected into the campaign narrative was intentional and probably green lighted by top campaign staff.
Then Mark Penn comes on Hardball with a smirk that would do W proud and launches an attack on Axelrod, drops a gratuitous reference to cocaine and claims that Shaheen was not part of the Clinton Campaign even though he is Co-Chairman.
Howard Wolfson has appeared multiple times on tv, looking like a thug and acting like an attack dog who is willing to twist any statement for cheap political gain.
And the candidate herself exudes a sense of entitlement by saying she has never given a thought to not winning. And then plays the victim when called something as heinous as disingenuous.
I have always been sympathetic to Hillary because I have thought she became an easy target for all the RW'ers who wanted to erase the 60's and return women and blacks to their place of subservience to white men. But I am deeply disappointed by the tone of her campaign and the substance of her votes in the Senate. I hope that she gets rid of the staffers that have done so much damage to her persona. Although, I am a Dodd supporter I had always been comfortable that despite the Iran/Iraq votes, I would have no trouble supporting Hillary in the general election. I am no longer so certain.

1. No worries about supporting her in the general....
She's going to screw herself out of the nomination with the filthy campaign tactics of her staff. They are obviously doing her bidding.

2. If they are not doing her bidding, then she is not in control of her own
campaign, which is just as important a warning flag.

3. Are you so sure that Shaheen wasn't factually correct?
Are you so sure, if Obama's the nominee, that the Rethugs won't use his past drug use against him, as they did against Bill Clinton when he acknowledged trying marijuana?

4. Do you really want someone
who would use this"Make no mistake that the image of Obama as young , black, male, drug dealer " against another dem candidate as your nominee? It plays into a certain stereotype and I personally find it appalling that a DEM would be so morally lacking to do this. It is a given that his prior drug use might be brought up but to insinuate he was a dealer is beyond the pale.

6. No I am not sure that he was incorrect. I am sure that
until the Clinton campaign raised the issue, with not a shred of evidence to support it, no one of either party had implied that Obama might be a drug dealer. To do so is despicable and to defend the action is adopting a Rovean approach to campaigning that is a disservice to the Democratic Party and the county.

5. Everyone admires her. That's why she's numero uno!
Ya gotta stop using spinnerama. Hillary never has, and she doesn't need to, ever ever play the race card. That's just the way it is...

7. First Dean, then Kerry
Now Obama. I have no doubt this is who Hillary Clinton is. I don't know how many times they have to crawl in the gutter for pepole to understand it. This is all we're going to have for 8 damn years if she's elected.
