Obama/Biden or Biden/Obama: Let's vote and help make this happen.
After today's debate, I've confirmed what I felt about this ticket a long time ago: This is the ticket that will restore decency and order in Washington. The ticket that will fight terrorism effectively without violating human rights and our Constitution. The ticket that make the US a respected nation again. The ticket that will restore faith in our government's ability to help solve our domestic problems.

This is the Democratic ticket that will inspire generations to come. Let's help make it happen by supporting Biden and Obama in any way you can. Let it be campaigning, donating, phone banking, or simply voting for any of the two, or supporting one of them if the other's chances seem to be slim once your time to vote comes. Again, let's make it happen.

2. People have said that Biden said he will not take a VP spot...
but don't they ALL say that? I would think if Biden were asked to be a VP rather than a Senator...he would think twice about what he said earlier. A VP is much more powerful than a mere Senator. I've liked the idea of this ticket for a WHILE!

Obama/Biden '08

Biden is the strongest debater I think, and would give whoever the Rethug VP is a run for his money for sure!!

9. Yeah, but unfortunantely, he means it....
he's not saying that because he would be a sore loser or anything though. He's saying it because he knows he can accomplish more in the senate, for all of us, than he ever could as a VP, or SOS. There is a clip on ABC, where he is talking about why he wants this so bad. Because he knows he can put this country back on track, as well as the rest of the world. And, he really does have that ability. He already knows all of the world leaders. They trust him.

Anyway, here is the clip, but I will warn you, it's really touching...

On the right;

11. He could put the country on the right track as VP too...
The Vice President is also the head of the Senate or something right?

14. Well, let me ask you this...
how much did Gore get done? It wasn't until after Gore & Clinton were out of office, that Gore actually got deep into the global warming issue. I really can't recall anything that Gore did when he was VP. So, maybe someone could refresh my memory?

I just think the VP position is a watered down position. Unless, of course, your name happens to be Dick Cheney...

I truly feel, that the best thing, for all of us, would be a Biden/Obama ticket. That would be 16 years. Because by then, no one could say Obama isn't experienced.

I also said before, Obama is young. This will be Biden's last chance to show us what he's got. Obama would be able to run, and most likely win, for years to come.

I just don't want to miss the opportunity to elect a truly remarkable person, who himself, can bring the kind of changes everyone is looking for. But you have to remember, people are battle worn, because of Bush. So a lot of people are trying to go so far away from that, that they are leap-frogging right over Biden, assuming he will just be more of the same. Which is totally unfounded.

GO JOE!!

27. Biden/Obama, let's make history in the VP slot first.
they do complement each other very well. Let's make history in the VP slot first, then president in 8 years. Obama can learn a hell of a lot from Biden about foreign policy and such in that time.

I would also support Biden/Richardson mainly because of foreign policy, western issues, immigration, latino vote, and yes to make history in the VP slot first.

20. Biden will never be VP
This isn't an anti-Obama post, just that Biden will never be VP. More than likely I could see him being Secretary of State or National Security Advisor - he would be of more use in those roles

22. Obama/Biden
This would be an dream ticket.I believe the 3 best candiates we have are Obama,Edwards, and Biden.
Now If Obama previls It would be unusual for a losing VP candiate to be VP again so that Is why I think he would be the Ideal VP pick for Obama. If Edwards were to preveil he should pick Obama.

It needs to happen. I've never been more sure about this.

They are so great together, both very complimentary, extremely strong, and incredibly smart.

It's the winning ticket.

25. Biden would have to be on top of the ticket, otherwise it doesn't make sense.
Obama lacks experience. He can learn that from Joe Biden. You don't want a VP who's better qualified than the person at the top of the ticket. Put Biden at the top of the ticket and the Democrats will have the WH sewn up for at least 16 years. Also, if Joe is the one running for president victory is much more certain than if Barack is. And if I may dare to say it, with Obama as VP it would give hesitant Americans a chance to get used to the idea of an African American as the second most powerful person in the country. It would make things a lot easier for him when he does become president. And I feel pretty confident that Biden would choose Obama as his running mate for several reasons. I'm less confident that Obama would choose Biden, nor am I sure Biden would accept the offer. Biden's paid his dues. Obama hasn't.

30. The more I learn about Obama, the more this makes sense. Obama and Biden may be birds of a feather.
Earlier in the campaign, I had thought that Obama was closer in philosophy to Edwards. But now I'm thinking Obama is more like Biden.

39. If Obama wins the nomination we probably won't get Biden as VP
and we risk losing the general. You don't put the person you like the best in the WH. You put the most qualified in there. Put Biden in the WH and you'll get Obama as VP. Both the country and the Democratic Party would be better off. It is a very serious mistake to assume that Obama is magical and can skip the learning process. Obama as president is a gamble we really can't afford to take.
