Another Kucinich challenger arises

One more pol wants U.S. Rep. Dennis Kucinich’s job.

Former State Rep. James P. Trakas, who also is the former head of the Republican Party of Cuyahoga County, issued a notice indicating he will announce this weekend that he plans to run for the 10th congressional district seat currently held by Rep. Kucinich. The congressman is in the middle of his second presidential bid.

Mr. Trakas will make his formal announcement at 10 a.m. Saturday at Independence City Hall, 6800 Brecksville Road. He will face tough odds in the Democratic-leaning district.

Mr. Trakas is the second high-profile politician to announce a challenge to Rep. Kucinich this month.
