If you are afraid of Nader vote for Kucinich
Overwhelmingly Green Party/Nader supporters like DK. I know first hand in Wisconsin that DK's most fervent supporters were Naderites in 2000 (Dean also attracted quite a few). They trust DK more than any other democrat in the race. He would get many of those 2.8 million voters who went for Nader in 2000. Even Nader himself has said kind words about DK. Nader even implied had Dean been the nominee he may have not run--certainly if DK is the nominee he wouldn't have a reason to run.

I see most of the front page of GD-2004 dealing with Nader and what a threat he is and one post after another attacking him. Yet the party wouldn't have to worry about him if they would just nominate Dennis Kucinich. It's funny since John Kerry is so electable, at least that is what the media has told us, that we are even worrying about Ralph Nader, but to be on the safe side why not nominate a Democrat who stands up against the war, against the patriot act, against NAFTA, for working people and people of color and people of all sexual orientations.

Vote for Dennis Kucinich.

2. President Kucinich!
Many of the people who have voted third party in the past did it because the Democratic party never offered a truly progressive candidate. This year we have one!!

Dennis Kucinich!!

3. Kucinich is Bushlite.
Kucinich is also a warmonger, and a corporate whore. I have no basis in reality to say such things, but I believe them anyway.

4. Kucinich is a good man
But he gives the average voter the heebie jeebies.
As good as a guy he is Bush would destroy him in a landslide.
I mean Dennis hasnt won one state he hasnt even came in second.
WHAT DOES THAT TELL YOU ABOUT HIS CHANCES OF WINNING THE COUNTRY?>

5. yes but John Kerry has won 17/19 contests
and a good percentage of this board is up in arms over Ralph Nader running. Only due to Ralph Nader will the electable Mr. Kerry be defeated apparently. So we should neutralize Nader and nominate DK. By the way, once nominated by the dems DK would inherit a good deal of Democratic support. How many dems are going to vote for Bush? As Will Pitt says given Bush's record people will vote for a "ham sandwich" over Bush--well why not give them a candidate who really stands for something and is a proud FDR Democrat?

6. I like Kucinich..
but I will not be extorted/threatened into supporting him. His stances have enough merit such that they can stand scrutiny without this not-so-veiled threat backing them up.

7. what threat?
your reading something into it that I don't see. Can't someone point out that since this board is so up in arms over Nader that the logical choice is DK if you want to win over Nader voters? That is what you want to do isn't it? win them over? right? then maybe you should have some kind of message that will appeal to them rather than the usual DLC blabber and Clintonesque "finding common ground" garbage that too many in the party like to spew.
