If I do know my history many people followed hitler blindly and didn't question him when he did atrocious activities. I think it's hypocritical of people say support the democratic nominee blindly and ignore their flaws like voting for the patriot act etc. These so called yellow dog democrats who only vote democratic are very hypocritical. Blind Faith led to a hitler regime. Maybe YOU GUYS should be the ones who should be wary.

7. I choose to bash both.
After all, they want the same thing, the destruction of the Democratic Party. Partners in hell.

11. One is in power, and has almost 50% of the popular vote
The other has 3% of the popular vote.

Who do you think is the enemy? Both want to destroy the Democratic Party. Which one should we fight the hardest.

The Greens will not win in 2004. The Democrats need to beat the GOP, not the Greens, in order to win.

So bash if you must, but you are not helping to unseat Bush.

14. Nader is NOT A GREEN!
He is NOT running as a Green!

How difficult is it to realize this is 2004 and NOT 2000???

4. You make a good point.
What we need to do is divide the base to make it a cake walk for Bush. Man that is insightful, electing Bush is a superior outcome if we vent all opinions and self destruct.

And in the next Bush administration the board will be viewed as subversive and shut down, but we can get together in basements everywhere and talk about how we need to remain divided so that we can't fight back.

13. If you're actively advocating for a non-Dem candidate
why are you here?

It's not called Democratic Underground for nothing.

15. Of course not
But don't express shock that on a forum committed to progressive principles that the overwhelming majority of posters here see Bush as the enemy and want him gone. It's not rocket science.

10. This thread is highly offensive
You have the nerve to call me and others who plan to support the Dem nominee blind? We're not idiots. Talk about condesending garbage. I want Bush gone in 2004, and I'm sure as hell not going to apologize for it. At least I can be sure I won't be a vehicle for him getting in for another four years.

16. What is this "blindly" shit you guys keep throwing around
like so much radioactive confetti? None of us here "blindly" "follow" any person into anything. We wouldn't be ON THIS BOARD if we were going to make uninformed decisions on something so important as this election.

18. You will never find a candidate as ideologically pure as you.
So why bother getting involved in the political process at all?
