4. I'm holding out for Gore, but I'm coming around to your point of
view. I keep thinking two thoughts: (1) how desperately we need serious reform, and (2) what an awful mess Bush is leaving behind. The problems are so great that they may be intractable, i.e. the next President may face a crisis of the magnitude of that which faced FDR. I think Gore could carry us forward, and if he doesn't, at least Edwards and Obama seem willing to go beyond triangulation.
