Microtargeting Bob Vila?
==None other than Bob Vila will begin campaigning for Clinton in Iowa tomorrow. He did a similar tour in New Hampshire a few weeks back.

Anyone bet that Vila's PBS show probably has a fascinating caucus-goer demographic? And considering Mark Penn's book on microtargeting, one has to assume Team Clinton has polled on this, right? Anyway, too little attention has been given to the Democrats trying to catch up to the Republicans on microtargeting. Using Oprah as an organizing tool and seeing Bob Vila on the stump says that there is more sophisticated research being done that's beyond polling.==

OK, but didn't Vila brandish a power tool on his show once and shout "Death to Saddam"?

1. Is Vila on PBS anymore?
I remember a major falling out over "This Old House." I think he took his show to TLC or something. PBS booted him.

3. Yes. Bob Vila is not very popular with the NPR crowd.
He insisted on doing a lot of well-paid sponsorships. Lots of people were disgusted with him. They felt that he sold out.

9. Elder Bush adm saw the housing bust, Clinton years brought upswing, GW years brought the BIG BUST. n
Now that no one has the money to build/renovate Vila might be going broke. I hardly look at his site because I am a humble DIY person and he is a purveyor of profession products and people. So we are not a good fit though I am sure he has helped people doing the big bank financed jobs.
